Name Misinterpretations

This is basically just a rant thread that's completely open for other people to rant about.

My previous username was EmeraldLevi, which people always misunderstood. I got asked all the time if I was referring to "Levi from AoT?!?!?!?1/1?!?" That always bugged me, and I had to explain why that was my username.

So uh... it's kinda funny to hear about username misinterpretations. Tell me some of yours if you have any or if you know anyone who has had one.

I had FriendsDontLie which is a quote from Stranger Things. People were always like: "Friends Don't Lie? Well that's a lie because my friends lie all the time" and I had to constantly explain it.

I thought it was a reference to that one weird imaginary friends show, the one episode I remember.

:eek: Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? I never got into that show, but I remember bits and pieces of the characters.

So now that my name is Emviar, my best friend is slightly dyslexic (he admits it), and he, for all this time, has thought it was "Emvlar" (with an l). I haven't corrected him. Emviar is also my Nintendo Switch name, so when we've played together, he's said my name. I said it one time like I was reading my own name, and I don't think he noticed how I said it with an I. xD

I've heard of it, but never watched it ;o

I got my name from the colour wheel.
I was looking at the opposites of colours in art class and I already loved the colour Red, but from the colour wheel, the opposite was green, and I didn't want to be christmas-y. So I went to the next ones, Yellow and Blue, and I just thought the yellow was too much like red to match, so I picked Blue.
 
Some people dont let me into roleplays at first glance because of them needing only male roles, which I don't mind playing, and them seeing the "Miss" part screws them up. (when in reality, Maizono, the person I based my name off of, is female) This is one of the two reasons why I'm going to change my name soon.

One time, in a Downgrade lobby, I had found someone with the username "Burrr" or something close to it. My theatre nerdiness kicked in, and I typed furiously "Is your name from Hamilton?" They replied with something like "It's supposed to be like 'Burr' as in cold." :p

People who have never met me before (and even some people who have for a bit) can go through a phase of calling me 'Goldfish' due to the similarities.

Wait you're... oh.
 
This had to do with my skin, everyone asked "Are you a girl zane?"
I had no idea who Zane was. I said no. People kept asking though and I had to change it eventually.

Later through researching I found out that he was from a really cringey role play on YouTube.
