This Thread is just my opinion. And when My opinion is different, dont start a War. Ok? ^-^

I can understand that a Lot of People In creative often say That our beloved Minecraft Partyzone Is dying. I thought I will post my Thoughts.

1. Why are they saying that?

I think it is Because first, The Numbers of Players are decreasing. Also, I dont know if It is only from my perspective, but I noticed More Hackers or Rude Players On Creative. I dont Report everything At the Moment, mostly im just warning them. But slowly, I start using the 'Report a Player' Forum even more and more. It is just, so annoying. The biggest Problem is, when one Person says something Mean, everyone starts to say mean Things, swearing often as well. And, lil me dont Report then, because like 10 People would have been reported. I dont want that. I also wont Forget that one time where somebody used a Chat bot that spammed the whole time 'This Server Is dead' and nobody knew how to Report them.

2. Is it really dying?

Yes. People leave The Server, playing on others or stop with minecraft completely, But I wouldnt say it is dying. Yet. The most People that leave are Guests who just came to look a bit and went off. They come from YouTube vids, and so soon the Youtuber Plays other stuff, they Player other stuff. But better the Server 'dies' Will the actual Players have to leave. And that is more Rare.
We have so many members that are here a Long time already. Im here since a year ca. (not on the Forum tho) And I love that I came. I am Happy that I registered to this Forum. And People like me, Who Love Mcpz, They wont leave that easily.
Though, I agree there has something to be done, because everyone will leave one day.

3. What can we do for Mcpz to get alive again?

For this Question, we Have to find out what brought them all To Join. And then, How to hold them to stay.
So I thought a bit. What brought me on this Server again? I thinked Long. Until I remembered it. It was a 3d Animation about the Murder Minigame! I still have the creator In my subscribtion, wont say outloud cause it may could be advertizing. Anyways, I also noticed that back then, A lot Of Youtubers Played On MCPZ. I also noticed, that a Big Server that I wont say the Name, Apparently now has Murder as well. Maybe everyone went away from Mcpz and walked to the popular Place?

So what Im seeing is That Youtubers were something very Important. Correct me if im wrong.
That means we Need to get more Popular youtubers To make Lets Plays, Or Animators to make an Animation n stuff. Also, Originality is Important, but I think Mcpz knows that already.

4. Is It really That Important?

...Depends. At the Moment, It is not the highest priority I think. But It cant be ignored.

5. What can I do?

Well, when you arent by suprise a super popular Youtuber that can invite thousands of People, I would say:

1. Stay.
Do not Leave us because it is going down a bit! Lets fight together!

2. Be nice.
Just because someone is a bit rude, Dont be rude as well! Just smile and wave. lil Screenshot and Report it. It is not that hard.

3. Have Fun!

Thanks for Taking your time Reading my Opinion ^-^

Another step to help pz grow Go on famous minecraft youtubers recent video and spam JOIN THE SERVER MCPZ AND PLAY MURDER OR SG IDK IP MCPZ.NET

You are partially correct on what needs to happen to make the server more active in general. You are missing a few things however.

  1. More players need to actively report in order to keep the peace on the server. If a youtuber comes on and joins a hacker infested game, or a game where everyone is cursing eachother out, it will drive away target audiences of the server, and may bring not so pleasant audiences in
  2. The community itself needs to shift a little more into diverse categories. Okay, so for the new player joining into the server, there are seven gamemodes (6 because last time I checked SG didn't have any servers up.) Only three of which can get at least one game an hour most of the time. That's a little broken. If a big youtuber comes on and showcases that, it may have varying levels of success.
  3. We need to urge our favorite youtubers to show up. We can not just rely on the admins to hook everything we need in. We are the community. We need to work for the betterment of the server too.

I feel like that last point really should stick with everyone on the server who even remotely cares. It's not just the staff's job to take care of the server. It's our jobs too, just in a slightly different way. The Staff gives us tools to work with, and we must act upon the potential "death" of the server

This isn't something to take lightly. I have seen other communities act just like this. Their player count is now in double digits on busy hours, single digits anytime else.

If we don't take steps to fix this now, we may not have a later. No one can truly stay forever

and no. Please do not spam youtubers about it. That will push them away. If you see them ask for suggestions on what to do next, push the envelope. If they're regularly checking for such a suggestion, push the envelope. Doing this is ham. Ham is much better than spam. Do not spam, Ham.

I personally think that the lower the players the better. I'm not saying that there should only be like 50 players online, but I do think that PZ is amazing just as it is right now! At the moment many people know each other, and the community is just more friendly to each other. There was a time that PZ was growing like crazy, and I didn't really like that. There were way to many new people, and no one really knew anyone at the time! I think that PZ "dying" is making the server better. Also I don't really agree with your opinion on how one day the server will completely will die off. People grow up and grow out of minecraft, but than there are younger kids that start playing minecraft and will find the server and find the server entertaining so they wont leave(It's kind of a cycle, older players leave, newer player join.). So as long as Minecraft doesn't just completely shut down, the server will never completely die off.

My insight is that people are generally getting bored with PZ. That might be because lack of minigames, or because we don't have a large playerbase as some other networks have. However, this could be combated as so from more advertising the server in general. Here's how we can do so-

More tweets!
  • Giveaways such as "Retweet and follow to enter a VIP+ rank giveaway" - this could excite MC players and spread the word that PZ exists!
  • Excite the Minecraft community - hold more events and spread the word!
Votes!
  • About a year back, there was a system where if you vote for MCPZ on NameMC, you'd get a reward of 500 PartyPoints. This should be brought back! It could encourage old PZ players to return and possibly stay! This doesn't only have to be on NameMC, on other websites too so we can build PZ up to the top. Who else remembers back when PZ was 4th listed on the NameMC server list?!
Social Media!
  • Similar to the Tweets section, however be more active! For example, Instagram. A lot of PZ's agerange live there.
Overall, if we can get people to stop leaving, then I think we can build up the community further and be recognised as a large Minecraft Server.

The problem with the server "dying" and less new players is that less money is spent. Eventually it gets to a point where the server has to downsize itself and become not the server you all love it to be, or sell up to a larger network and lose the family PZ vibes and staff team.

This has happened to many servers in the past, all of which were still getting 200 strong counts until they suddenly went offline for good out of the blue. The nightmare reality is a thread saying "We're closing down" and the best reality is "we're merging with a larger network!".

Important: Mergers are much better than selling up as you can often keep the team and gamemodes, just in a new environment with more players as an audience!

The cost of running the server is a lot more than imaginable and would take more than a bunch of you pitching in a bit. Unless PZ gets more players soon I sense a change coming in the network in the foreseeable future, good or bad.

merging sounds like a god idea

Fair enough, even though we are bringing out new games such as Splatter, it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Whether the players on the network like it or not, I guess we may have to merge with another network. Like you said, it will still have the same games (and more) just in a different environment. And its better than shutting the network down for good, so I think if worst comes to worst, we should at least try to merge and not shut down the network, as it could upset quite a lot of players.
