WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH CAPSLOCK? WHY DO STAFF SEEM TO HATE IT SO MUCH?
You can have an opinion on whether or not you like capslock, whether you think it's a bit annoying, or don't like the look of it, but it doesn't seem like a valid rule to enforce that other people not use it. Capslock is often used to get other people's attention, especially when asking for help or telling someone something urgent or important.
So why is it a punishable offense? AshlieWhispers told me it "floods chat", but the size of your text doesn't change. just the individual letters are capitalized. They stay in the lines the same, they don't increase the size of text bubble, except sideways slightly (but you don't mute for longer messages.)
After AshlieWhispers answered my question, she reminded the chat not to use "CAPS in a full sentence." Obviously I was pushing it, as I was annoyed by the idea that you could be muted for using CAPS, so I said, "DO not USE CAPS IN A FULL SENTENCE!" shortly afterwards (didn't use it in a full sentence
) and I was warned by Ashlie for disobeying staff. A few minutes later I used it again when asking if anybody needed a particular egg, and was muted by Ashlie for an hour.
I of course don't care about being unmuted- it's only an hour- but I want to hear one good reason that CAPS should is, and should remain, a reasonable, punishable chat offense, other than opinions about about how it makes you feel. Thanks!
