I was trying to play murder and it wouldn't let me because my rank couldn't be retrieved. I tried logging on later but the same thing happened so now I can't even play murder any more.

Yes I am having the same problem and when I came back 5 hours later it was still the same...you couldnt get into any game.There were alot in the lobby with the same problem and no staff or helper around at all. What is happening? Can someone let us know?
Seems strange. You mean rank in the murder game, or ranks like (VIP, VIP+, etc.)?

I've not joining murder for a while now and maybe something happened with it.
The whole server is under host maintenance and these last weeks Murder is also under some problems. It can be bug fixes, updates, etc.
Be patient.
