Rejected murder mutation

I notice how easy it is to win the murder game when everyone besides the murderer has a gun. i suggest that in order for it to not be as easy give the murder a fake gun. this fake gun can fire but not kill. it also means that the murderer wont be outed by not having a gun making the round last longer then a few seconds.

My second one is kinda trivial but have a separate lobby for the mutations and non mutation. by this i mean have two types of lobbies one where there are no mutations and one with a possibility of mutation. i know this sounds crazy but this second one i don't care much about.
 
I do like the first suggestion, as it is very difficult for the murderer to win under the current conditions of the mutation. I don't really have an opinion on the second one, so I'll be staying neutral on that. You can always just vote for a non-mutation map, however I see the point of being in a game with other players who want to play with mutations. Overall, I'll be voting +1 for now, but that may change once I see others' opinions.

It's not the fact that it is easy, it's the fact players make it easy. By this I mean the murderer making it easier on the players. If the murderer were to for example do 1 of these things

1. Hide away and make a trap for players where they have the advantage while the unknowing bys will simple react slower than the murderer with the known trap unless the bys has insider info.
2. Instead of staying in one place travel around picking people off from afar and slowly they die.
3. If you are a pro at this simple think like bystanders where they would head in groups, will they stay? Will they move? Where and when? Reaction timing. Use all your resources such as f3 f5 and sound. Most of all though think like the bystander or know there could be a hacker with xray so plan fast but skillfully.

1,2,3: Most of all stay away from the possibility of getting shot. Most likely someone will shoot and in effect cause a shooting chain that benefits you if you are far away from anyone.

I vote no because it gives players core parts of the current murder as I can easily get a gun in under 5 seconds from spawn. Gun game just gives players more notice about thinking anyone could be ready at gun point just waiting.

To the actual suggestion though xD... I am guessing the fake gun can't fire meaning your suggestion doesn't help what you are trying to do.

Second part-
This is impossible to do as the server is dying we can't risk spliting a game as well the players vote for it so it's more fair on that side of things. Then again.... the maps are poorly designed in my opinion as they appear to have to detail in the working of the game but details in looks and lets be honest looks don't matter it's the inter game works.

Yeah I find the "guns out or die" very annoying the thing is it's like not many like to show their guns so if this is a thing they would stop because the murder would have a fake gun. +1
And on the second one I stay neutral because I can't say much about it.
 
As said by almost everyone, loving the first one, so that’s a definite +1 from me.

For the second one, murder mutation was implemented into the same lobby as the neutral murder to give an exciting twist, so it could attract more people. If we were to separate the lobbies, it could result as massacre did (after a while literally no one played it, and it kept going down), or only one game was played and the other game would be very quiet, and attract barely anyone. Implementing this would be a huge risk. I know no one can actually say, as fact, this will happen. But that’s just kind of what we should worry about.

Anyway, I quite like the mixture of mutation and normal mode, as it balances it out a bit. Everyone gets a chance to play the modes and switch between them, instead of going through the same old thing over and over again.
 
If you give the murderer a gun, I personally think it goes against the fundamentals of the game Murder itself. Murderers have the knife, the Bystanders have the gun.

The “everyone has a gun” mutation is a likeable challenge to the murderer, for me at least.

What about a second sword instead?

Instead of the Murderer getting a gun, I believe giving them a second sword is the way to go. It may not level the playing field but it’s a upgrade from having only one weapon for many players with guns.

With the second suggestion, simply vote for a non-mutated map, splitting the servers seems unnecessary. If you do not wish to play the game with the mutation, you can also leave the lobby and join a new game.

Overall I am -1 for now.
 
Maybe instead of permanently having a fake gun, the murderer can buy a temporary one for 15-30 seconds for an emerald?

On the terms of the second suggestion, it wouldn’t work at the present moment- I fear that this suggestion would go the way of massacre (splitting playerbases isn’t a good idea, especially if the games are so similar. Even more so if the player base is dwindling)

Personally, I don't like the first part of the Suggestion and definitely not the second part.

The mutations are meant to put murder into a bit of a twist.
Double Emeralds makes it so bystanders can get guns faster and Murderer can get more knifes fast.
Speed 2 will make it so its a "bit" more fast paced and also makes it so the murderer doesn't need to sprint jump masking the fact that they are the murderer (Besides the sprint particles)
Double Jump: Its just chaotic.
Guns Galore: Personally, I find that this mutation makes it harder for the murderer when they have an advantage in the majority of the other mutations. AND I feel like this makes the murderer play a lot more strategically. TimeLord's examples are amazing.

Guns galore also make you develop a sense of security but in normal murder, the Bystanders are meant to have a false sense of security which I find funny.

I don't need to go into detail for the second part because everyone else has stated what has need to be said.


This is my own opinion on this suggestion and how I personally find Guns Galore

The mutations are meant to give one side advantages. Makes the game more interesting. If you wanted to make a mutation, perhaps let there be a mutation where the murderer has a fake gun, but besides that, it's a regular game. Therefore, it benefits the murderer.

The second one is always a possibility. I just feel that we should wait until we can pull in enough players to take that step. It would divide our players who play murder between two separate gamemodes if you think about it. At this point in time, we don't want to be stretching our playerbase thin between all the games. For now, -1.

The, “Everyone has a gun,” mutation has already been removed due to said reasons and while it was extremely annoying to be the Murderer, however, it was easier to defend myself as a bystander with the mutation. I think this is a very good suggestion that would benefit the Murderer and the Bystanders.

At the moment Murder is still in progress and bugs are being fixed so the second suggestion would be too much work for now but could be a possibility in the future. I’m voting +1 for now.

Hello and thank you for the suggestion. The mutation may be looked into at another time, but the separation of mutation and normal lobbies will not be implemented.
