Rejected More powerups

Apparently here.
This is a simple suggestion for a powerup that allows you to stun a tagger for five seconds. Stunning a tagger will blind, slow, nauseate, and give mining-fatigue to the victim. Maybe make it so a tagger can only ever be stunned once per game, or add a cooldown for each tagger to be like, one minute in between stuns?

This is a new addition to the suggestion

For starters, maybe making current powerups more potent for taggers. It may be a bit difficult to balance, but it could give an advantage.

Maybe a power up could be a freezing potion?
The tagger would receive a splash potion of an effect, and the server would check for said effect. If a free player is given this effect, the effect is removed, and they start freezing as if they were tagged. If a tagger is hit, the effect is just removed.

Another power-up could be a temporary tracking compass, that lasts a few seconds (maybe 3-10 seconds) on a right click, and points the user in the direction of the nearest free player.

More ideas for tagger exclusive powerups to come

I like this idea, however I feel the time should be lowered to around 3 seconds. There should also be a very limited number of times this power-up appears. Perhaps one or two?

The only reason I say five, and I forgot to mention this, the user would need to hit the tagger with the power up. Then the tagger could potentially still have a shot at hitting the free player that stunned them if the skill gap is large, and is in the favor of the tagger.

This is a risky power up to use, but it can reward the team for a short amount of time by allowing things like a small window to free more people than a mere invincibility perk could.

I think this is a really cool power up but could give a disadvantage to the tagger which is why I agree with @Ehmii for how many times it should show up.

I do not think this is is a good idea, based upon the fact that players already have an invinciblity power up, adding this would make the game basically impossible for the taggers to win.

Well, maybe I shall add some power ups for taggers too tomorrow, and rename the thread to power-ups?

Yeah, it's hard enough as is. :p
 
Really like this idea! I think we need some powerups for taggers because as of now I don't believe they have any specifically for them
