"I am so getting you for that later Zo." I laughed but got a nasty glare from Mr. Peters.
"This is Luna. She moved here from-"
"From San Francisco." Luna interrupted. "Where should I sit?" Mr. Peters pointed to the open desk between Aurora and me. Luna walked over, sat down and pushed her hair in front of her face. When she did, I could see that she didn't have a ring either. I pushed my shoes into the classroom rug and looked over at Aurora. I tried to signal something to her with my hands. She looked at me cluelessly.
"Look at them," a voice said. I looked around at Amber and glared at her. "The weirdos with no ring sit together."
"Shut up Amber," a new voice said. It was Solis. I hadn't heard her talk yet. She was new and had only been at our school for a few weeks. Her voice was kind of deep. She sat back as soon as she spoke and didn't look at anyone. But it had done the trick. Amber had shut up.
The bell rang for lunch and we all went outside. Aurora, Cooper, Kuriama, and I went over to the recess area. Luna was standing a bit seperate so Rory, being the kind soul she was, invited her to eat with us. She came over as we started talking. Kuriama looked at her curiously.
"No, I've never had a ring." Luna said before anyone could ask.
"Same," I said. "Neither have Kuriama and Coops." She pointed at Aurora like she was asking a question. "Rory has always had one" She shrugged.
"Why don't we go find out why?" Rory said.
"What do you mean?" Cooper asked.
"Well, we could try to find the people who make the rings and ask why you 4 don't have them." Rory explained.
"Great idea Rory, but we have no idea where to find them." Kuriama put in. Luna frowned and then said, "I do." We all looked at her. "I know someone who used to make the rings." She continued, "I could ask them where to go."
"That would work," I said.
"What about your parents Zo?" Cooper asked.
"It'll be fine Coops. They want me to find out what happened." I responded. "You should be worried about yours."
"Oh.. yeah" Cooper sighed.
"Then we're going?" Luna asked. I looked at Rory.
"Yes," Kuriama said firmly.
The End.

Chapter 1
Mr. Peters talks forever. And I mean forever. But this morning, he was interrupted. A blonde head popped into our classroom and, with an overly cheery voice, announced a new student. I looked around at Cooper and Kuriama curiously. Cooper gave me a goofy grin and shrugged. He didn't know either. Kuriama just stared into space somewhere past the board. So I poked him. His head flew around and glared at me.
