I just wonder why sometimes when I do /f list some of my friends are "currently in [REDACTED]".

This just means that the server doesn't have a public name for where they are, so it doesn't have a place to display on the page. Often, when a player has [REDACTED] as their location, it just means that the last time they left the server, their game crashed, and they are not actually online. However, it's also what appears if someone is in a part of the server without a name, often times Admins.
