I'm just reading the New York times there saying Microsoft bought minecraft for over 2 billion dollars. Microsoft is bound to probably ruin the game, but i have confidence that Microsoft won't destroy minecraft.

Maybe they will undo what jeb_ did about the bukkit issue and stuff and we won't loose servers and plugins because of this.

#MinePocalypse? :p I really can't imagine a good future with all three original creators gone...

I hope Microsoft does something good with it. I mean with that large of a company, they better make it fantastic. PLS. DUN MESS UP. But honestly, I feel the #MinePocalypse is coming.

Minecraft is a money maker all of us playing it... Look at what it did to notch xD

Guys i have inside information that microsoft have bought mojang they have put over 1000 developers into the game and over 500 developers into the new api even though this will not affect us because our amazing coders have made our own api.

Notch and jeb were working at mojang but they resigned whilst the deal was going through. if you were a billionaire why would you want a job.

Nothings gonna change :p theres just gonna be more Updates pushed forward as what Cookie said 1000 Devs. Even more than it had before But R.I.P Notch R.I.P Jeb The founder Left and so as the Other guy who was cool ;-;

Honestly, I don't think Microsoft would ruin Minecraft. The only possibly bad thing is them pulling it from other consoles and turning it into an xbox-exclusive(ugh the thought makes me cringe). However, Microsoft isn't that dumb and they CAN be beneficial towards Minecraft (especially since they're used to managing billions of users and all that) through things like UI, Server API(Please let it be a new Bukkit), more simplicity for setting up servers etc.

Personally, I think that Mojang being bought by Microsoft isn't as bad as you all think. I mean, they've ben in this industry for years, and also have a tonne of Developers, which could lead to better coded and faster updates.
