Cantaloupes are different, not like the sucky potatoes.
Cantaloupes are too hard to bite into :3 whilst potatoes are easy to eat. Soooooooooooo.....
what if I told you cantaloupes suck.
Cantaloupes do not suck unless there is a vacuum inside of them. In that case, any form of matter close to it will attempt to take up space in the vacuum. That is, assuming some crazy scientist decides to suck out air from inside the cantaloupe but that would backfire because it would implode first because it wouldn't be strong enough to not be sucked into the small vacuum and air particles would pressurize it from the outside and force it or push it in to itself.
Of course, it would be unwise and unsuitable for the teeth to eat the outer layer of the cantaloupe instead of cutting it and eating the softer, inner part of the fruit.
I don't see why you'd want to eat raw potatoes. Despite them being nutritional, eating them uncooked would at best taste bitter or at worst, kill you. Yes. Raw potatoes can kill you.
Raw potatoes have alkaloids. These make you have cramps, vomiting and even diarrhea.
Green potatoes can cause hallucinations and heart rhythm problems. Eat enough(usually three or four) and you'll eventually die because of the toxins.
Even without peeling them, they're lethally dangerous if uncooked.
If there's one advantage a cantaloupe has, it's that it doesn't need to be cooked, only washed and cut before being eaten since it's a fruit.

I personally prefer Sweet Potatoes though. The tastiest tubers around. Have you ever tried baking them? They're incredible!
