Well, I'm sure you've heard it before, but if you haven't..
KitPvP is a free-for-all player versus player minigame. Any number of players battle in an arena (that can maybe change every thirty minutes, and players can vote on which map can come next?), each using their own unique kit.
As an example for a kit, a kit could be called Knight. The Knight kit can have an iron sword, chainmail armor. Another could be Horse Rider.
Maps can change every thirty minutes. Players can vote on which map comes next. Whichever map has the most votes will become the next map. This part is entirely optional, though I think that this would be a fun addition to KitPvP, and overall improve the quality. This can also give players more power over what they want.
Just to clarify, I am not a builder. I don't think I could build anything. Ever.
However, I do have some ideas for maps:
Rainbow Tree - a giant tree with multicolored wool/glass for leaves
Airport - A stone ground with built planes that you can enter and hide in
Prison - A stone building, with cells that can be 'guarded' with iron bars, with some bars in some cells broken so people can enter the cells.
For kits, more elite kits can be rank restricted. For example, the kit Knight (chainmail armor and iron sword) can be open to any rank. Then, there could be a more powerful kit, say Archer, which has a bow with enchantments on it, with a full set of armor. This can be restricted to VIP's.
Kit ideas:
Kit Name: Knight
Gear: Iron sword, chainmail armor (maybe a bow with only a small amount of limited arrows?).
Rank: VIP
Kit Name: Archer
Gear: Leather armor, a bow with a lot of arrows. Maybe two or three stacks? If for some reason the archer runs out of arrows, they could also be equipped with a plain wooden sword.
Rank: Any
Kit Name: Horse Rider
Gear: Saddled horse (NO armor!), stone sword with some variation of sharpness, and a leather chestplate (and maybe boots?)
Rank: ELITE
Kit Name: Scout
Gear: Leather chestplate and pants, three speed potions, and a stick with A LOT of knockback
Rank: Any
Kit Name: Tank
Gear: Full iron armor, plain wooden sword
