Did you know that quorn (the food that is supposed to replace meat) is a bunch of living micro things and they are alive? And so, to my question... Why do vegetarians refuse to eat meat (mostly cause they say it's cause the don't like to kill living things) but they eat quorn which is alive?.... :p

Plants are alive as well.
I believe they're against eating things that have movement and semi-sentience.
Fusarium Venenatum, or Quorn, is a high protein fungi.
It's a mold.
They have nothing against eating mold.

I'm a vegan, and I refuse to eat anything that comes from something with a working brain and immune system. I actually get asked things like that all the time, but since fungi and plants don't have brains or immune systems- they're able to be consumed by both vegetarians and vegans.

Vegetarians don't eat things with (as Arujann) said with a brain. Plants don't have brains otherwise they probably would have taken over the world and we wouldn't have to worry about no trees and stuff lol :)
