If a staff member falsely banned you secretly. Then the staff member got demoted would you still be banned

If it was a false ban, you would be able to make an appeal stating what happened, or even a staff abuse report. If you do that, you will more than likely be unbanned if it was truly false. There are no "secret" punishments, either. We would know about the ban as it happened.
