Hey, everyone!

My name is Gaurav, and I’m the new owner of PartyZone. I wanted to make this announcement to introduce myself, and to answer some questions that I’m sure you all have. I want to assure you all that I’m not just some random that has no idea what he’s doing -- I own another network, NemeGaming, which has been around for a few years now, and has been pretty successful. The management team from NemeGaming (myself included) will be working with the PartyZone team moving forward.

Now, to answer the most important question you all have: What’s happening to PartyZone? PartyZone is going to remain independent -- we have no plans to merge it with NemeGaming or any other network. All the staff will remain unless they wish to leave. We will also make no major changes to gameplay because we’re not dumb, and we are not trying to kill the network.

We will still be making improvements to the network, though. Here’s a list of the major improvements we look to make to the network in the near future:
  • Upgrade to a premium network blend to decrease latency for almost all players. This should especially help players from Europe, who have been connecting all the way to Chicago (and still stuck with it, you guys are awesome). We will be adding network points in the following locations:
    • Ashburn, Virginia
    • San Francisco, California
    • Frankfurt, Germany
    • London, UK
    • Sydney, Australia
  • Upgrade the backends -- we plan to upgrade the servers that run PartyZone to premium overclocked dedicated servers. This should help with reported issues of lag on creative (and ideally we won’t have to reboot Creative as often as we do)

  • Anti-Cheat -- at NemeGaming we’ve taken the time to develop a very sophisticated Anti-Cheat that we call “SARAH”. We will begin testing SARAH on PartyZone soon and make sure that she’s fine-tuned to her new environment before implementation. More details about SARAH can be found here.

  • Advertising -- We’re going to advertise via youtubers and voting sites to bring new players in (and old players back) to PartyZone

  • Sale -- to celebrate the upcoming holidays and the new ownership: As this announcement goes up, we will launch a 50% sale! Check it out on the store! We’ve also added support for debit and credit cards through a gateway that’s not PayPal; the process for payments will be much faster now.

That’s basically it for this announcement -- we’ll be sure to keep you guys updated on everything that’s going on. If you have any further questions or concerns, be sure to reply below and we’ll answer your questions (and add answers to frequent questions in this post). Thanks guys!

What will be happening to Gigo, has he stepped down or will he remain an influential part in this?

Will there be any rule changes, and if so, will there be additions or removals?

Will you be bringing over any staff from NemeGaming or will those staff and this server staff remain separate?

Welcome to the party, and good luck.

Gigo will remain on the team as an admin/developer -- he'll remain influential on the network. We don't plan on making any rule changes, but if there's a high demand for a rule to be changed then we might do that (we're still getting adjusted). And staff from both networks will remain separate for the foreseeable future.

Well, uh, hi, welcome to PZ, hope you take good care of us

Nice to meet you!! I hope this means good things for Partyzone's future!!

Hey, welcome! I've been a member of the community for a little over a year and it's a great place. Hope to see you in-game once my laptop decides to work!

hope this changes partyzone for the better. this has been a long needed change, and i’m glad it’s happening. congrats :)

Welcome new owner! Few questions: Will there be any new minigames in the future? Will Massacre come back? :)

Welcome to PartyZone. I really hope this is for the best. I'd hate to see to see it fail after all these years I'd love to see it grow and change in positive ways and I hope you and the team are able to pull it off, but how long have you actually known about PartyZone and what made you want to work for / own PZ?

Hooray! Disappointed that none of the original owners remain owners, BUT it’s nice to see some fresh blood on the administrative team. (I don’t mind the people that have been around for a while, I love them, but new ideas will definantly help the network).

Something that has bothered me for MONTHS is that most of our suggestions aren’t getting any form of proper response. Will you begin going through suggestions and accepting/denying them?

Who all are you bringing from your team? And who will be joining your team?

Still just getting adjusted, so I'm not quite sure what** Massacre is, sorry! And yes, we will definitely look into adding new minigames in the future. There's already a few things in the works apparently, stay tuned ;)

We've been thinking about this for over 3 months, and planning the buy for a few weeks now. We're prepared ;P

Thanks, and good questions. We're still setting up, but we're gonna start looking at those again, along with compiling a list of active bugs. The next couple of weeks will be focused on improving the current gamemodes; fixing bugs, implementing suggestions, etc. Then we'll start pushing forward with new projects and whatnot.
As far as the team goes, for now, only @NobleProductions will be coming over from neme. We plan on keeping the networks separate.
