My name is Gaurav, and I’m the new owner of PartyZone. I wanted to make this announcement to introduce myself, and to answer some questions that I’m sure you all have. I want to assure you all that I’m not just some random that has no idea what he’s doing -- I own another network, NemeGaming, which has been around for a few years now, and has been pretty successful. The management team from NemeGaming (myself included) will be working with the PartyZone team moving forward.
Now, to answer the most important question you all have: What’s happening to PartyZone? PartyZone is going to remain independent -- we have no plans to merge it with NemeGaming or any other network. All the staff will remain unless they wish to leave. We will also make no major changes to gameplay because we’re not dumb, and we are not trying to kill the network.
We will still be making improvements to the network, though. Here’s a list of the major improvements we look to make to the network in the near future:
- Upgrade to a premium network blend to decrease latency for almost all players. This should especially help players from Europe, who have been connecting all the way to Chicago (and still stuck with it, you guys are awesome). We will be adding network points in the following locations:
- Ashburn, Virginia
- San Francisco, California
- Frankfurt, Germany
- London, UK
- Sydney, Australia
- Upgrade the backends -- we plan to upgrade the servers that run PartyZone to premium overclocked dedicated servers. This should help with reported issues of lag on creative (and ideally we won’t have to reboot Creative as often as we do)
- Anti-Cheat -- at NemeGaming we’ve taken the time to develop a very sophisticated Anti-Cheat that we call “SARAH”. We will begin testing SARAH on PartyZone soon and make sure that she’s fine-tuned to her new environment before implementation. More details about SARAH can be found here.
- Advertising -- We’re going to advertise via youtubers and voting sites to bring new players in (and old players back) to PartyZone
- Sale -- to celebrate the upcoming holidays and the new ownership: As this announcement goes up, we will launch a 50% sale! Check it out on the store! We’ve also added support for debit and credit cards through a gateway that’s not PayPal; the process for payments will be much faster now.
That’s basically it for this announcement -- we’ll be sure to keep you guys updated on everything that’s going on. If you have any further questions or concerns, be sure to reply below and we’ll answer your questions (and add answers to frequent questions in this post). Thanks guys!
