As you are all aware, the tag [Architect] is given to players who built maps whether it was a submission on the forums, or working with the build team. It is a little nod of appreciation towards that member.

Now my suggestion is, to give players of certain Insights sub-teams certain tags. These tags will have no benefit in-game, whatsoever. While I was on the Insights team, we had a conversation back in the day about the lack of recognisation (credit if you want) for the members who are part of a sub-team but who's team doesn't have a rank. These Insight tags will just give those players a feel of recognisation.

The tags could be labeled as follow:
Event Team - [Event]
Feedback Team - [Feedback]
Social Media Team - [Media]
Build Team - [Architect]
Stream Team - [Streamer]
Design Team - [Designer]

What happens if they’re no longer apart of the team?

They can have it removed? Maybe it could only be for the insight leaders though? Like, Jules would only have the event one, for example.

I believe Administrators and above are the ones who have access to give the unique tags such as “Helpful” and “Architect”. There are a lot of players within insights, I believe it’d be too difficult and time consuming for said Admins to remove and give tags considering the teams, and those in them change often.
A possible solution to this is to allow leaders (those with the Insights rank) be able to give and remove the tag off of players, but restricted to those only in their team by a rule.

To response to your idea, Etgar’s intention is to give insights members recognition, team leaders already have a insights rank in-game, though that would be a nice addition.

Some teams already do get recognition, for example when writing threads for events etc people tend to occasionally write something like “thanks to (name) for the graphic” which recognises them, the event team get builder halls when events are built which, once again, gives them recognition for their work on the event. The only teams who don’t really get recognition are feedback and media, as stream team don’t really need recognition as you can see who’s on the stream and everything they’re doing.

I like the idea, but I feel it would be more convenient to give it to teams such as media or feedback, and if people leave the teams they don’t have to have the tag removed as they still did work for the team, just like the architect tag.

Yeah I agree, but then I think there should be a requirement for how long you’ve been in the team prior to getting the specific tag.

With the build team one you don’t get it for just being in the team, you get it once you’ve made a map or helped make one etc, so maybe for feedback team you have to respond to so many forum bug reports, or deal with so many suggestions on the discord etc and with media, similarly do so many tweets before you get it

Really like this idea. It will give recognition to those who have worked hard for insights. Could also do a similar thing w/ design team (how many graphics you've made) & possibly for event team (how many events you've hosted, how many warps you've helped to build, how many event threads you've made, etc.)
