Infinity War rant (SPOILERS)

Also, can we puh-lease talk about that ending though??

Like, um, where was the overhyped action-packed battle that everyone was waiting for? Instead of that, we just get slowly depressed as our favorite side characters fade away into nothingness (R.I.P. my son Spiderman, he was too good for this world).

And honestly, Chris Pratt is such a hottie and I absolutely love him, but c'mon, Peter (Quill) couldn't have made a stupider move by punching Thanos. They had him--everything was perfect the bug girl (I forget her name) had Thanos sleep and as long as she kept on focusing on that, they would have been fine. But of course, they got onto the topic of Gamora and ruined everything (I think that Nebula should take some of the blame, as she exposed that Thanos killed her and made Quill get mad and punch him).

I liked the movie but some stuff was just dirt trash.

There is a theory on that ending, the theory is one of the outcomes that doctor strange looked at, the so called "End game" was the ending, Doctor Strange probably knew that was going to happen, and let it happen anyways, that they needed that one defeat to go after Thanos and fix everything, I mean it was sad that Thanos won, I even heard a kid say "Why did the bad guy win." During the credits. Also Darn it why did they have to kill Nick Fury, but luckily that isn't the last time we see him, Samuel L Jackson is going to have both eyes in Captain Marvel.

So tempted to wanna this thread, but I haven’t seen the movie.

Thats what I have heard too. I would be shocked if Marvel decided to actually kill off the characters that ‘died’. Something that I noticed is that at the end, Thanos goes to his homeland before it was destroyed and just sat down. Kind of like he realized what he was doing? He might resign himself without the need for a fight. Something obviously happened inside of him that made him go there. Inner defeat? Realization? Sadness? Grief? I guess we will find out lol

Well, this was the most depressing Marvel movie I've ever seen. Like seriously. The fact that Nick Fury and Maria what's-her-name "faded" at the end. I have to admit, I like what they did with that. It gives the viewer a sense of how truly powerless humanity is. Planes and cars crash and the who grid could go down due to lack of people running it. Thanos somewhat put humanity behind. It wouldn't be able to continue developing at its current rate in the Marvel universe with half the population of Earth gone. Aliens become a huge factor, too. Half of the world's greatest protectors just perished into piles of ash and dust. It just made us want to cry our eyes out, really. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Loki was Bruce. Even though he "turned" halfway into the hulk, it could have just been Loki changing his skin tone to make it seem like it. I love Loki in all honesty. I also love the Red Witch. Her power fascinates me. It was kind of sad when she had to kill Vision to save them all, but her work was for naught and nearly everyone ultimately died, including herself. I don't even want to go into what happened to Gamora. She didn't deserve that death AT ALL. If only Quill had held his punch until the final battle. Heck, for all I care, that punch could have been what actually killed Thanos. Instead, it doomed them all. Nebula is an interesting character, to say the least. On the bright side, we are back to the team being made up of the three who began the whole thing, if I remember. Black Widow, Captain America, and Iron Man. It will be interesting to see those three rise from the ashes in a next movie. The end thing kind of reminds me of a Latin quote I found in a book once. "Pulvis et umbra sumus." The phrase translates to 'we are but dust and shadows' or 'we are dust and shadows'.

the originals are iron man, captain america, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black widow all of which survive infinity war, hawkeye who is coming back in avengers 4 confirmed.

He kinda sorta disappeared (from earth anyway) to his homeland before it was destructed

If Thanos returned to his world it would have been desolate like we saw when he was fighting Tony Stark. he was in a greenland.

He used his time stone (from Dr. strange) to go back to the time where it was plentiful and pretty. We know this because he showed us it before, with the reality stone with gamora, quill, etc.
