General I still dont know what to callthis

Well a couple of months ago I made a post on why Staff messages shouldn't be displayed in rp chats, and the response to that was very positive, well it wasnt implemented, instead we got a new annoyance, THE EMOTE, like, why?

Ok here's an example of what happened today, I was peacefully building some random stuff, and the chat starting flooding with random messages, so I opened an rp chat to silence the global chat, when I did this I was trying to get some peace and quiet, that also means I dont want to know who smacked or licked or farted on whoever.

Ok staff messages are annoying but I get them, but the emotes are a COMPLETELY different level of annoying

Hey!

I completely agree that emotes should not be shown in RP chats (when you’ve done /RP global off). I can only imagine how painful that could be. I do think staff messages should be shown though. But either way, emotes can be spammed and that floods chat even in global.

I agree, it must be weird to only see staff messages pop up. Especially when they're normally chatting. +1

Seeing the messages of staff when in an RP chat is perfectly fine with me since they can have important news to say "we're starting this event! Etc, etc."
The emotes, however, can be annoying, especially when users spam each other, which tends to happen quite frequently. I don't know if they'll do anything about it though. You could always just turn chat completely off if it gets too frustrating.

I like this idea, because sometimes people will make a roleplay chat just to slow chat down for themselves. I know personally that without context, emotes can be very awkward and a tad bit annoying as well.
