1. Im leaving but the majority dont care so im getting right into it

2.

I joined the server when I was about 9, around September (maybe nov?) 2014, and the servee was great back then! Very friendly staff and community, and I really enjoyed the games on the server and I would get home from school, log on, and play on the server until I would go to spend time with my family.

2017 was probably the peak year for server numbers, we got lots of new players! However since I had already been on here for about 3 years by then, some of my friends had left, and I was left on the server alone. It was fine, I made new friends. Then they left, many months later too. I made new friends again, and now I'm leaving them.

Like I said, 2017 - peak. But then it just seemed to be a very, VERY steep slope, and the server just slid down that slope in a gradual decline of players. I understand, people move on.

My point-
This isn't just another one of those "I hate the staff! They aren't doing enough!!" Threads, (then again i guess it is but I'm trying).

I do honestly feel that the staff, when I first joined, was great, generally pretty good. However I soon began to see changes. Players who had just passed the "you need to be on the server for a week" mark for the Helper app were applying, and getting into the staff team.

Many may say "oh but they bought a rank, they're nice and dedicated!!"

Please for the love of god- stop that,

I understand they filled out the app well to a point that it really impressed you, and they can get in and be a good member of the team. I'm all for that! But I just think that.. a week? Seriously?

Even just a month would be fine. But a week?..

3.
I've seen, and been involved, in MANY instances on PZ where somebody has said something very (obviously!) wrong, and so, since the staff (who either weren't present, afk, of present and just failed to deal with it) other players including myself dealt with that player and were warned for constantly telling that player. It's not our job but to avoid these players saying anything else like this, we'd try to tell them, hey, that's wrong, please mind what you say from now on. Some players did take it too far and would beat into that player for saying something that wasn't as bad as that select overexaggerating player would take it, granted! But if that happens, warn THAT player. Not every single one of us trying to deal with it. Please staff, don't just instantly believe the first witness' pov. Hear everyone's opinions first.

4.
A year or two ago some people were complaining that the staff were talking about updating the server. Bringing great new stuff. Cool! We looked forward to it! After roughly a year of waiting, the update still hadn't come. So we told the staff again, and again, and again, but we got the same answer "The staff team is working v hard!!" "Please give us time!!" "Some other bugs came up.." "We're fixing bigger problems.." What bigger problems? The biggest problem we have is the declining player count. Bug fixes? Yeah! Cool! Fix them! But please focus on the things you promised us. Because if you keep straying from making players come to the server, eventually you'll be fixing bugs for a population of 0 players. Obviously griefs and other such things take time for the mods/helpers to deal with too. That's understandable too.

Anyway I'm not gonna stay any longer. I'll come back and see the replies on this maybe but anyway I know for a fact I'm just gonna get one long paragraph from a staff member saying "nO yOuRE wRonG tHe stAFf aRe vERy hARD aT wORk" Ok thanks staff, you're like a broken record now. We might aswell start a petition to turn this into a creative server.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk and wowee I?? Feel kinda glad?? To end nearly 5 years on pz. It was fun for the first 3 or so years! (Edit: the last 2 years have been very enjoyable also, but only due to the great friends I've spent time with over those 2 years). Thanks to those who actually talked to me anyway bye

Awww, I'm sorry you had to experience that. When I was staff I was very appreciative when players helped out with what they could. I'm sad that this is what you experienced with the staff team. I won't say that they do their best because no one is perfect in what they do. I've made many mistakes as a Staff member and players seem to take the worst of it. Do I regret somethings I did as a staff? There are some things that I do indeed regret doing, but I can't change what has been done.

I know we talked a few times in the past, and I was impressed with how much joy you showed.

I'm sad that you are leaving us this way. but, I understand the situation.

I wish you good luck with your future. I just wish it was under better circumstances.

This made me cry, that is all.
Have a good time I guess.

Sad to see you leaving the community on a sad (?) note but I can say for certain I have enjoyed your company whilst it was there and am honestly glad that I found what I would call a friend in you. I hope you enjoyed your time with me and my friends as much as I enjoyed it with you.

Apart from your departure, I'd like to touch on a couple points in this thread,

I've seen, and been involved, in MANY instances on PZ where somebody has said something very (obviously!) wrong, and so, since the staff (who either weren't present, afk, of present and just failed to deal with it) other players including myself dealt with that player and were warned for constantly telling that player. I can definitely see where you're coming from. Even when I was a staff member I admit, I don't think I quite understood the line of mini moderating and just letting the player know. Personally, I never dealt with any scenarios like the ones you're pointing out. I'm sure that the current staff team has varying opinions of this.

As for the staff team not listening to BOTH sides of the story, that is honestly a problem. I'm aware that the leadership changes, but there was a specific scenario where many people were punished for something without being heard out. I can see the players' side to this story and the staff team's side, but from what it looked like there wasn't any sort of attempt at the beginning to hear the other side of the story.

When I was on the staff team, I wasn't made aware of the things going on with the development of the server. Honestly most of the staff team doesn't know much at all, that's normally all up in development/administration. I agree that there's been a lot promised to the community that hasn't happened yet/I'm not aware is even being worked on. For example: https://mcpz.net/threads/suggestions-were-adding.38807/. As well as goodie bags.

Also another thing, why can't the developers work on a new version of murder while keeping the current version of murder up? I'll never understand all these codey things, but it just seems odd why there couldn't be a way to have like 5 servers running murder for the public while they work on updating it.

It's quite simply due to the fact, the old murder was heavily broken in more than one way or the other so they drafted it and started to recreate it with different maps and different aspects. If you've joined the current murder you will see that many things have changed like -
• All cosmetics now cost Partypoints and only upgrades cost coins.
• The maps seem different and they are most likely working on more new maps.
Due to all the changes they will not have enough time to fix and reopen old murder until the new murder is done as it's too much work. It can be done but as I said it's loads of extra work that is unnecessary, I may be wrong on few parts but from my point of view this is what I can conclude to.

Old murder runs on the old system, we would require two networks just to run that, which seems a tad pointless.

Yes, it was broken. but people still played it and really enjoyed it.

That makes sense, thank you.

At one point, the server's main source of players was murder.

Then they shut it down. To fix it, presumably, but it was shut for a LONG time. I mean long enough for player counts to decline rapidly. An update, cool; but the update wasn't really worth it considering the amount of players lost.

Ahh!

Mmm I agree the fact that we've technically lost all the progress made from the start in the game and that now we can't buy hats and stuff unless you have partypoints is a definite downside of it

No I'm pretty certain that is just how it is because of it being in beta. Idk how it works but they should be purchasable with coins after release. This might be due to the hats being given back to the players who bought them etc.

I really do hope management clears things up more as it is a bit annoying not having answers for awhile.
...
All valid points although don't expect everyone, even staff, to be perfect. There certainly were issues back in 2016-2018 I hated the staff back then. 2014 and 2015 were the best years due to friendly people and staff that seemed more iconic than a drama show. Even now I feel some should leave as they aren't fit for the role but that's just my opinion.

As for the development... programming is work and getting some where could take months and with 4 devs on a whole network it certainly doesn't help. One of the reasons I applied yet even with that it's been a month and no response although it is that time of year and Noble does have two servers to run so it's understandable. I would love to see new features and such faster but we aren't like certain servers where updates are monthly. We are more of a no information given one as if someone says 1 week and it turns out to be 1 year people won't be happy.

I doubt it because it's been said how all cosmetics will cost Partypoints and only upgrades will be coins plus our hats won't be given back as the new murder is on a new network/system

I don't think I've ever met you before, however, I understand where you are coming from.

Yes I think staff should be more refined and try to be more professional. But, I also think that the community shouldn't be fighting other players because staff aren't. There are ample times where I see people breaking the rules without staff online, people are cussing them out and saying things that I wouldn't even say around my own mother. The community needs to cool it's jets, calm down and wait for staff.

(Before any salty staff comment on "professional" I mean to say, not going afk in creative, nor running to other servers when you don't want to deal with something)

Now the "Coming soon™" That PZ often uses. Currently, I don't know what the devs are up to. However ES is on it's way to completion. Furthermore, the entire server has been re-coded and optimised (Thus PZ V2), but bugs still exist, issues take time to fix. If you stay updated you will notice updates on the occasion. My personal opinion, I think something is happening early Winter/Summer.

I agree with the sentiments sort of, before I stopped playing I had been warned for things that weren't against the rules. However the moderation of this server is not as bad as many.
It is just boring. Frankly, when I went back on, there was nothing to do.

I agree with most of your points, but the whole 'fighting other players because staff isnt there' thing is only really a select amount of players. All the others try to stop it normally, but there are usually a few who take it too far.
