Okay. This story is quite personal.
In early February of 2005, my mother started feeling very sick when she was pregnant with me. She ended up going to the hospital, in which her doctors told her I would most likely die. The problem was that her body though i was a virus. She was getting all the nutrients, while I was being cut off. The team of docs performed an emergency c-section to pull me out. My mom and I both almost died. My mother was discharged from the hospital after 7 days. Me, on the other hand, weighed 3 pounds, had a head the size of a tennis ball, and could barely breathe. I was discharged after eighteen days in the hospital, but i later struggled with breathing problems. I was a miracle. Today, I am a healthy 12-year-old, with no breathing problems. Thank you for reading my story. UPDATE I was born two months too early.

I was born in a similar way so I have been told. My mum tells me c-sections are really fun. Sadly I will never experience the fun of a c-section, because I am a male.

That is amazing. I'm happy you fought to live even if the odds were against you

Miracles do happen. :) Thanks for sharing your story!

@ForestEdge you could swallow a tennis ball and then maybe you'd experience something similar.

just kidding dont

I was born premature, too. Just under a month. Thankfully, I wasn't born with any significant issues.
It's nice to know other people's stories about this. Glad to hear yours turned out well!

Wow! I was also born 6 weeks early and weighed 3.47 pounds. However I didn't have breathing problems, I was immediately diagnosed with Reflux and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It doesn't sound that bad, but imagine waking up every day feeling like your stomach is going to explode! that's the story of ma life :D

Woah! I'm sorry to hear that! I was one of the lucky ones that A. Didn't die and B. Was born healthy. I am incredibly grateful for that every day.

I am so proud of you for overcoming this. I had a friend who was born at 25 weeks, and she was in the hospital till she was 11, and she has asthma, and many many other conditions. I'm so glad to be able to call you a friend. :)
