How does the new rank system in murder work?

I was like rank 97 before they were updated, I am now just Gold? what does that mean? :/

so it says my progress is 2.45% and its been like that for 4 days even though I've been playing a lot, how do i make it move?

A post fully explaining the ranking system is going to be coming very soon. What I will say for now is that there are 7 tiers: Dirt, Cobblestone, Coal, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Obsidian. Who's in each tier determined by the percent of players you are above in your rating score, except for obsidian which for now contains only the top 200 players. Rating is a hidden number that is calculated on a lot of different values which determines your rank. The exact specifics on how the rating number is calculated is not going to be released. The way the rating is calculated may change in the coming weeks/months because there is no exact science to determining a player's skill, so don't be surprised if your ranks change dramatically some time in the future. But the ranking system is somewhat new so bare with us while we work on it.

I was probably around 800 and became Iron, but I got to Gold within two days.
