Hey Partiers!
Recently it was brought to my attention about the amount of rubbish that ends up in our oceans. Tons of rubbish per day are added to the amount, floating around the ocean killing sea life.
There is actually an island made of rubbish, in the middle of the Pacific where the sea currents meet up.

Over 10 billion plastic bottles are thrown away every year in the UK, only 3 billion of those are recycled, while the rest ends up in landfill. In the US alone, 60 million per day are thrown away.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- Recycle! Things like foil, metal, cardboard, paper, glass and plastic bottles are all recyclable!
- Reuse! Reuse old items that you may want to throw away, do a bit of crafting or DIY!
- Bring awareness! Like this thread, let the others around you know of their impact on the environment! Inspire young and old minds alike to tackle this world-wide issue!
- Use alternatives! Don't buy items with so much packaging, use biodegradable (they are able to decompose) plastic bags, use non-plastic bags!
- Plastic bottles! Recycle your plastic bottles or just re-use them in your own home!
- Pick up trash when you see it! Every little bit helps! Make your local community area look nicer and cleaner while helping the environment around you!
- Grow your own! Why waste so much money and packaging on food? Grow your own vegetables! Easy and low maintenance to-grow foods: lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet peas, parsley, basil, onions, garlic, berries, lemon trees!
Every little bit helps, be the Earth's superhero. The Earth is the only thing we all have in common.
