If somebody’s helper application gets denied, shouldn’t there be a specific reason as to why? Like if your application got denied because of, let’s say, bad grammar and you get many scenarios wrong, shouldn’t it say so? It would not only help the person who gets denied work on what they need to fix, but it would also let them know what the staff team is looking for. Let me know what you think :)

I think that sometimes they will tell you, but sometimes they probably don't because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or try to argue with their reasoning.

When I was senior moderator, we didn’t give the reason why in the denial message (since it was a cut and paste generic message), but if you asked for it we almost always gave it to you. It wasn’t a specific reason like “the time you said a swear word ingame”, it’s more along the lines of “immaturity, lack of judgment, etc.” as a reason, no specific details. Who knows, things may have changed but that’s how it was.

Hey, thanks for making a suggestion. It’s always nice to see people taking interest in improving the community.

Feedback: I’m assuming there are a lot of applicants that get denied on a weekly basis, and letting them all know probably takes a bit of time. They probably won’t go into details as to why as that would take up a lot more time. However, if you ask for feedback you probably will get some.

I completely agree - one time I was denied because of "Rudeness". This definitely lowered my confidence as I thought they were calling me a rude person and for that reason I wouldn't be fit for the staff team. I do think more insight is needed as to why someone has been denied for the helper role.

As stated above, leadership have to go through multiple applications a week and they don’t need to provide a reason why you were denied because in all honestly, it would make the applicant more sad telling them straight up they got denied for “immaturity” etc. Furthermore, it’s better to message the Senior Moderator back as to why you were denied and how you could improve upon it since that shows you are dedicated and willing to put that little bit more of effort in for next time. Back when I was a Senior Mod, you would get a reason as to why you denied always if you asked why, I don’t believe it should be made mandatory for leadership to write a reason for every single player as they could always message back so they know what to improve on- this also shows that they want to keep trying and are determined to prove to staff that they are capable of becoming helper.

@all in said suggestion

Since some people copy and paste it why not add a little part where it says ask for my information as to why your app has been denied if you wish.
...
As stated above its very time consuming to personalize each app. Copy and paste is easier than taking 1 hours into apps instead of a simple 30 minutes. Don't know anything, but for example if I were to do vocab online I could copy them by typing or copy and paste them. What would be faster and efficient?

Staff have a life and have a job on then server and maybe even a paying job.

-1 I disagree with this because of the reasons stated above. There is no point on repeating what was said above
