Wherever life takes me
Hello!
I think there should be a hardcore version of murder.(I edited this later giving it more thought, I have a reply that says similar things) My first thought is that the maps would be a little bigger around 90x90 with more open area like the map cobblestone. Giving you more space but at the same time it’s risky to go out in the open. This also relates to my idea of there being less time. If the maps were bigger, and you had less time but were like the map clue or airship,(no hate towards those amazing maps :)) it would be too hard considering there is less time.

My second thought is that the player would not be able to press tab, there are no colors or everyone has the same color, and maybe everyone has similar skins or the same skins. Getting rid of all that information there is still one piece left and it’s the players name. Having the names makes it so you can still say who it is in chat but you have to get close to see who exactly who it is, this makes it a challenge for the players. Since it would be murder hardcore this would make it more fun. When you have colors, and different skins people can just say “it’s orange” “or it’s the person with the diamond skin. This also means there can’t be hats or anything that identifys a player, except the name.

My third thought is that it would be harder to get a gun. Either it takes more emeralds to get a gun or there are less emeralds spread through out the map. This also leads to another point I have if it takes longer to get a gun then the murder might have an advantage. But if the game had more people then you could have 2 people that are the detective making it harder for the murder too, giving everyone a challenge and making more even. Then you might say well if there are more people now then how will a lobby ever start? Well you could have less lobby’s maybe like 3-7 then more people will be in the lobby’s, compared to having 20 lobby’s. You might also ask how many people would be in the game? I think that there would have to be around 6-10 people to start the game.

I think it would be really fun for the players that want a challenge while playing murder.I know this isn't much but I don't know what else to say except it would be pretty cool!:p:pz:<3

Before I start my usual commentary I would like to ask a few questions.

1: How much bigger would the map be? The current average size of a murder map is about 80x80, with a few exceptions of course.

2: How would the current proposed mechanics add interesting gameplay. Let me explain. So right now, a player in good standing with the karma system needs five emeralds to get a gun. Sometimes this can be achieved efficiently. Others times players can just have the worst luck and never get emeralds. This, along with chat removal nerfs the bystanders very harshly.

I could see it working. But it would be quickly ruined by teams. Here is my suggestion:

Make it it’s own separate branched gamemode (like massacre back in the day) and disallow parties to enter. Also disallow /f join or anything of the sort. Anyone trying to join with those methods would be stopped with a message saying “To prevent teaming, you are not allowed to join hardcore murder in this method. Please visit the sign instead.

Bonus points if this gamemode actually works with enough players to fill multiple lobbies, you can channel everyone into a sign that attempts to keep people off of lobbies where their friends are.

Of course this is a more risky route. Maybe instead if they really want to add it and don’t want to make it dedicated, it can be put up as a vote in the lobby.

All in all though I’m staying neutral for the time being- I’m interested to see where this suggestion goes.

Also interested to see the wacky forms of communication made without chat.

Also another thing, disable perks like double emeralds. That’ll get broken fast.

1. I’d say around the lines of 90x90 and also a little more open area. Like in the map cobblestone.

2. With the emerald thing it dosent have to be 10 emeralds. I’m suggesting it would would just be more difficult to get a gun, same with the other things.
Chat dosent have to be disabled completely but maybe make it so you can’t press tab to see the people’s names and colors. Doing that allows the player to have to get close to see the name tag without getting killed. If they can do that, considering it would be harder, they could then say who the murder was. Just small changes like that make the game harder.

This is interesting. Honestly, there is plenty of people that I know who find our original murder a bit unchallenging. It looks VERY fun and I'd love to see it implemented. I just fear that if parties aren't allowed to join, people might play normal murder just so they can be with their friends. I wouldn't mind giving this a try, though. Maybe have perks that are made for this game specifically? I know they might lessen the effect of some of the challenging aspects, but if it's like 10 emeralds for a gun or something, it may be good to have a perk for double emeralds that goes up to 25% chance. Even then, the perk would cost like 200k coins after paying individually for lesser chances. +1 <3

Great concept! I hope this gets added or something similar. I know a few people who say that murder is getting boring and this would be great for people who like a challenge! +1

I think this would be a lot of fun! It's always good to make murder more challenging - you usually have to be a pretty experienced player to win as the Murderer as it's incredibly easy for everyone else to point out who it is based on their color or name.

Main reason to not implement:
In the server their is not that many competitive players. Also most of the time competitive games do jot stich for very long. Massacre is very simuliar to this in ways yet I do prefer this over massacre.

Your suggestions for this:
1.Bigger maps needs longer times... even now it could take me 7 minutes to find a person this is due to rotation and hiding spots. As well some play styles need time no matter what such as sniping it is very effective in winning yet with time it takes forever unless you have very strong good aim.

1b. Xray and time...
Usually for me with Xrayers I need more time. Or at least possible xrayers I do. I have had many times where it was very possible for the person against me to be a xrayer. I like the challenge yet reducing time gives me less time for a opening in human error.

2. Reducing identification for the murderer isn't going to make it more challenging as many ways I know of that does not need to know the info.

3. I would love to just have this as I can get a gun under 10 seconds or up to 30 seconds with alright luck. Yet the murderer already has the knife so it makes a easy murderer win.
...
I do think some other things should be implemented into the present murder such as gun version limits as v5 is a easy win for gunner most of the time (yes the gun is possible even with a alright murderer and under 1.75 min left). As well the time limit in my opinion should be increased a bit as it encourages rampaging. Not many people slowly kill anymore even if it is ineffective because of how every person in the game has double emeralds to 50% smh.
