Introduction
We already have the gamemode murder, which is modeled after the classic Garry's Mod game, so let's add another classic. Guess Who!

What is it?
The gamemode Guess Who includes hiders and hunters. The hiders have to try to blend in by changing into the NPCs, who walk around and act like normal people, which are around the map, and the hiders pretend to be one of the NPCs. The hunters try to single out which NPCs are actually the hiders and eliminate them.

How can we bring this to MCPZ?
Maps:
We can use the many murder and even downgrade maps for this game. All we need is room to place NPCs so the hiders can change into them and blend in.

The NPCs:
The NPC identities could be the many Elite+'s the server has and the ability to have your name and skin as an identity could also be bought on the store. The NPCs walk around the map and act as if they are normal players, though of course they have their derpy tendencies like every NPC (walking into walls and randomly running in circles for no reason). Ultimately, they have to be scattered across the map, as they are needed for the hiders to blend in.

The Hiders:
The hiders would have the capability to change into any NPC via an item in their inventory. Say if one Hider is standing next to an NPC they wish to change into, they could move to the stick, for example, in their hot bar and right click the NPC to change into that identity. The Hiders would spawn is any random player that happens to be an NPC in that game. The Hiders would also have no weapons, only the ability to run from the hunters (and abilities if they are added) as their defense.

The Hunters:
The Hunters are the players trying to find the Hiders by looking for any players doing non NPC things, or just a lucky shot. Though, every NPC they shoot that isn't a player would cause them to lose a little health, so use your shots well!
They will have a bow (or a gun) and a sword. Both would take away half a heart for any wrong NPC they attack. Hunters will have something to make them easily identifiable, I recommend a banner on the head and/or body armor.

Taunts:
Here is where we give it the MCPZ spin.
The hiders will be able to taunt by clicking dyes in their hot bar.
For example;
Red dye: Causes the sound of a ghast to be played
Blue dye: Causes the sound of a noteblock to be played
And so on.
Each taunt will accumulate to more coins at the end of the game. So, for instance, the sound of a ghast is much more noticeable than the sound of a noteblock so the ghast sound will be worth more coins than the noteblock sound.

If you die: If you die you can become the classic PZ spectator and spectate the current game.

How Hiders get away*:
Hiders are required to pick up diamonds if they wish to get an ability that will help them get away from the Hunters. You can only use one ability per match, that is if you get enough diamonds to earn an ability.
5 diamonds will be required for one ability and, like murder, they will be all over the map. The ability can be activated by right clicking a flower in your inventory. Each ability will be a different flower, so that they are easy to tell apart from each other.

The abilities will consist of: (These can be removed or new abilities can be added as seen fit)
Stun: Causes nausea and the hunters cannot move for 5 seconds
Teleport: Takes 5 seconds to activate and acts like an ender pearl, has a 20 block radius and will teleport you somewhere random within that area. (Ender particles would also show where you teleport to make this ability not too op).
Disguise: Look like a hunter for 15 seconds (Gain a banner and armor or whatever may distinguish a hunter from a hider).
Transform: Turn into any farm animal (cow, chicken, and pig) for 15 seconds.
(More can be suggested and added later).

*This feature does not have to be added as it may make the game unfair. It is just a suggestion.

What are coins for?
Coins will be used to buy weapon skins, banners, and armor skins (for the hunters) in the lobbies. This is very similar to murder in this sense.

How to earn coins
Like stated before, taunts will earn coins (though this will be a small amount).
The main amount of coins will be earned by "winning" as a Hider (not dying) or killing Hiders as a Hunter.

How big are the games?
A normal game will consist of up to 10 people, 4 hunters and 6 hiders. The games will last for 5 minutes.

Please let me know if anything isn't clear! I'll explain to the best of my ability.

It sounds very similar to a game on another server, we could PZify it though.

Overall good idea.

This idea is much similar to ninja wear you need to hide from other players. But in this their are seekers and hides not just hiders. Might be able to be added yet I don't know if the staff want to copy more Garys mod ideas. Anyways maybe some tweaks could do to make it less or more attached to Gary mod (depends on staff). For now -1 because it's not the time I believe

Wow! This sounds like a really good idea. This should defiantly be a game and I think everyone on the server would really enjoy this.

I have played Ninja before I don't believe it's too similar and this gamemode does not copy it. I added some changes to the gamemode itself but you can suggest some more to make this more PZ specific.

Thank you! Like I said in the post before, please suggest some ideas if you have any.

Well if they wanted it pzfied then maybe traps in the maps?
For example hiders have their abilities (invis, forcefield , and many others).
...
Invis simple is invis
Forcefield: stops the seeker from moving
Others that I don't know
...
And if you would want this seekers have a trip line that will activate a message saying that "A player has tripped on your trap!".
...
I am not sure if theit is any seeker traps in the orginal game but this would be useful to make the seekers job a little easier.
...
Another suggestion is that players have a transform dye in their inventory(simular to murder) basically they can transform into any NPC with a given time limit.
Still this is to make it more attached to Garys mod

I tried to stray away from this aspect to make it seem more of our version and less of Garry's mod since there is an aspect like this in the actual game. Though we could add it if it is really wanted by the community.

I personally think it would because it makes it more well enjoyable rather than simply hiding. It would be pretty boring after a while tbh.
Also the staff might want it more like the actual game.

Alright I'll add a section explaining that aspect when I get home, but I will make it optional just in case the server does not want to do it.

Edit: Abilities have been added

I love this game suggestion and I appreciate the amount of effort you put into the thread. I've actually already thought of doing Guess Who last year and I have a whole design document on it. So this could happen, who knows... ;)

Thank you x3 I tried my hardest to make it pretty and understandable. If you need me to explain something better, I will gladly do it!
Such a fabulous gif btw ;P
