Soooo it's today!

According to many, seeing a solar eclipse is a once in a lifetime chance that you'll remember for a lifetime!

I'm currently in Texas right now, so I might be able to see a little over 75% of the full thing. How about you guys?

EDIT: It literally just got a little dimmer lmao nothing cool hahah

I live in South Africa.. So I won't be seeing any 'American' eclipse today..

North America. My brother and I will share a pair of Nasa-approved glasses that he got. I hope we can see it... they say the peak will be around 2:26 PM where I live. I'm excited!

edit: IT ALREADy STARTED IT'S LIKE A QUARTER OVER ALREADY OMH

Have you guys heard what happened to the U.S president?
Other than being called a racist and all other sorts of things? If not, no.

Back on topic, I didn't actually get to see the whole thing. Where I live, the moon didn't completely cover it. It got noticeably darker around my house, though.

He looked at the Eclipse without the glasses on.

I'm sad because the glasses were sold out and I didn't have anything to make a projector with.
I'll be around 18 by the next one.

What a freaking legend.

My friend lives where the moon covered the sun fully, but sadly, not only do I live too far from that place and heard the sky had darkened (but not like night dark), I was asleep for the whole thing ;-;

Watch him announce he's blind tomorrow.

In all seriousness, that's a dangerous thing to do. I got a flash of it off my tablet screen (I guess I was being dumb) and my eyes hurt briefly, but I think I'm fine.

On the topic of eye safety, I am able to stare at the bare sun for around a minute if I tried. Is this normal?

Accurate if you're talking about the 7-year-old demographic of America.
