New Gametype Grand Gold Hunt!

The Grand Gold Hunt!
Wondering what the Grand Gold Hunt is? It is a simple game in which up to 12 people must search for gold or and gold ingots. There would be 4 rounds (4 different maps) and there would be individual winners for each round, and once all 4 rounds have been completed, the person who had found the most gold in those 4 rounds is the overall winner! There would also be a podium where the top 3 players would be. Just like my hide and seek suggestion, each map would have a different theme. (e.g. Horror, fun Christmas etc) to make the maps more interesting and less repetitive.

  • The players would be searching for gold ingots and gold ore.
  • gold ore=1 point.
  • gold ingot=2 points.
  • gold locations would vary to prevent players memorising locations.

If you think that I haven't added enough detail, or feel as though I've missed something out, feel free to leave a comment or suggestion below.

its always u who tries to find any reason why my ideas should't be implemented. And what server already has this idea? (this is not a rhetorical question, i just wanna know. And it doesn't really matter anyway because its probably not even the same thing and why does it matter anyway? Pz doesn't have anything like it.
 
I like the idea a lot. But here are my questions- Will the gold spawn randomly or in specific locations to make it difficult to obtain the gold? How about adding gold ore to replace ingots, and then have to mine it out and smelt it with coal which also needs to be mined out; it would add more difficulty to the game. You cannot assume many map submissions will be placed in for the game itself as you aren't sure yet if it will be implemented or not. I suppose you are trying to give ideas for maps?

However, the idea or replacing gold ingots with ore and smelting with coal I don't approve of. This is because although it would add more difficulty to the game I have a feeling that if implemented it would add too much difficulty, especially for players who are new to minecraft. Though I could have it that ingots are worth more and ore is worth less. Then have fewer ingots.

I'm just pushing you to make a good thread.
It was something on the hive, where you would mine ores and whoever got the most ores would win, this is slightly different, but in the end this is just the emerald hunt on murder without the murder.
It matters because PZ wants to stay original, also this would just be a copy of a mechanic already in one of our games.

If you don't know the basic mechanics of minecraft why would you be on a server.
Also it doesn't take long to learn.
Also assuming the game was unbiased everyone would have the same chances.
