I personally think it is punishable. He DID choose the username. The server can not censor inappropriate usernames the same way they can with profane chat messages. If someone chooses _I_AM_A_BITCH_SLUT_ as a username they should take responsibility when their decision gets them banned.

People who are mature enough(or think they are) to use profanities in their username are mature enough understand why they get banned from some servers.
And in 1.8, when the name change comes out, they can change their username if they want to, and get another chance, or whatever you want to call it.
And how would we know if they changed their usernames? In 1.8, bans will still stand no matter what username they change to.
I was talking about Minecraft in General so that includes every vanilla 1.8 server that exists.
and it really bugs me when people are cursing and everything because there are kids playing minecraft. I know that for a fact like my little bro that is a tot plays on kindles so that is something that shouldn't be seen by a kid.
