Forums Get Rid of 'Instant Emotes'

Suggestion
So I know the title probably doesn't make sense, hah-
But anyways, what I'm talking about is how when you type '; )'
it turns into ''. Or how if you type '< 33' it turns into
'3'. I personally don't exactly like this seeing as how
you can actually just click the 'Smilies' button at the top settings when you're typing
and sometimes I would rather use '< 3' than the actual heart emote.


Pros
People, like myself, would be able to
type ': )' without it turning out as ''.
I'm pretty sure other people would agree?


Cons
Some people might like the fact that
'< 3' turns into '' as it is easier for them.




I hope this suggestion made sense and that other people might agree xx​

Do you mean like how you can turn it off or on like in Discord?

I'm unsure if this is what @Pqndar meant by their comment so i'll just say it anyways.
I think this is a good idea, but it should be optional ( what I mean by this is you can toggle it on and off ),
so some players can use the auto & some players don't.
I'll stay neutral for now.

I do agree with the comments above about making a toggle in your settings to turn it on or off. I’m unsure if this is possible with XenForo, but I’d like to see this get implemented if it’s possible. +1

Agreeing with what the majority has stated above, if possible I think it would be appropriate to allow forum users to toggle if this were to be implemented.

In this way, players who do not really have an issue can keep it, while players who do have an issue with automatic emotes can remove it.

Regardless, I think this suggestion is great.
If players want to use emotes, the option is right above. If not, why should they be obliged to use them? +1!

I do agree with the suggestion, and I feel that the emotes can get very annoying when you're not trying to use them. I also feel maybe we need new emotes since these ones are kinda messy, but that's a whole suggestion in it's self. +1
