Full Update Petition

How can we truly resolve this issue? With your votes, of course. We're in a democracy,after all! And if we all dislike something, we change it. I don't think anyone enjoys the bickering about whether or not updates are not being up-to-par with other servers, especially me. Let's end this once and for all!

Ive been on these forums for a while and i havent seen anything regarding the updates being bad. I dont know where you're pulling this from.

I'm going to vote a strong no about this right now. Updates from Mojang recently have, in my opinion, not been the best. A large majority of the player base of Minecraft still hasn't updated from 1.8, myself included. If we were to do these updates like you want, a good amount of people would either stop playing PZ because they do not want to update, or there will be people that suffer from the new updates, as even with a fairly decent computer I get extreme lag from 1.9 or higher on my computer, whilst 1.8 is fine.

Yea, all updates after 1.8 go down the drain. Even 1.8 was a little annoying for some people, but i didnt have much of a problem with it. Also i dont know what 1.11 brought/is bringing, so i cant say in regards to that. But i cant really see updating to these versions being good for the server

Honestly, I'm gonna have to vote a no. As Absol said above, updates haven't been the best. 1.9+ would also be very laggy and it would take lots of coding to fully update it. 1.8 is really fine, I also don't like the fact that you can't throw the swords while in 1.9+, a shield just pops up out of no where and then everyone knows you're the murderer. (I don't know if this is just happening to me or to everyone, but it's still really annoying)

Kso, in general 1.9+ sucks.
It pretty much killed minigaming, which is why literally no one has done a full update yet.

This decision is really up to @gigosaurus. Although we enjoy seeing your opinion, it is mainly up to the administration team. Some things go on behind the scenes that may be preventing us from updating to having 1.9+ blocks. I know just as much as you do

I'm really glad to see such modest responses to this as yours, Jebb. I honestly can go either way, but I was just curious what the other server members had to say about such a topic. Thank you for a reply. This got me a trophy for once! XD

I can honestly agree with you there on the whole update ordeal. Some just don't like the update because it became more of your standard FPS shooter in 1.9, and it only went more in that direction from there. I personally love the updates, but I'm just glad the server supports all of its kind in stance with 1.8. And thank you for calling me a great MC builder. I ain't one of the greatest though. I can name quite a few on this server MUCH more skillful than I.
