I'm gonna keep this simple!
Friends list categories. What I mean by that is, to put certain friends in certain groups.

ex.

"Staff Members!"
Emohh
Iruu

Unstitched
gigosaurus

"Close friends"
Pastelbeaniplier
MissMaizono
Iridecent

I like this idea, cause I'd like to sort friends out, so I know who is who. Like, such as if I meet people in roleplays, I put them in the ROLEPLAY category.

Thanks for reading! I'll add more detail if I can.

I knew I'd forget something, and I was tired as it was early AM so I'll add now. cx

I think 4 categories would be good if they were pre chosen.
Such as,
Staff, Friends, Close Friends, and Squad/Team.

I actually lose track of who I met where, escpecially when people change their names. It will also make my life easier when deciding if I should keep these randos on my friends list. +1!

I do like this idea, not only would I like to sort out my friends and put them in a certain category, I'd like to also see those who I haven't spoken to in a long time and delete some people.

However, I do see something wrong with this suggestion. What if someone uses this command but puts some certain people in a category (ex: ugly skins). Now obviously those people in that category wont know what category they're in, but what if the player/owner of that category tells them. Some people may take advantage of this and may use it to create mean category names which could upset players who are put in it.

So maybe, there should be 3 or 4 categories (ex: staff members, best friends, friends etc), so if anyone decides to use this suggestion, they can only use those categories (something along the lines of them) so no one is upset if they've been put in a mean category.

Your group names would have to be approved, like staff applications. They'd have some detector, and if it had any rude language or such in it, it'd be denied. But if it was a nice name, it''d be approved. I think 4 categories would be good if they were pre chosen.

Add this to the start of the thread so Admins won't need to look through the thread

I kinda like this idea but it seems really complicated, I still don't really understand how it would work.

Interesting, but is it really nesscesary? If we're friends with people, we should know who is a close friend, and who you don't necessarily speak to much, but you'd nodd a hello too. Staff members are always top of list if online, and it goes in order of ranks and users. Either way, if you're close friends with someone, you should know, not have to check on your friends list. Its only really important when they're online, so you can find them, but you just have to look for a user, which shouldn't be too hard. In all honesty, i don't hate the idea, i just would never find it useful. I mean sure, it'd be nice to find out how i met them, by titling them "roleplay" but its gonna take a while if you have a lot of friends, and you try to organise them into groups either way.
Personally i wouldn't mind it being added, but i would most likely never used it. So for now I'm just going to stay neutral

It is good but I feel like rather then putting them in 'best friend' and 'close friend' category's is a big silly considering you should know who is close. Instead something Like, 'staff' 'role playing' and 'building buddies'

The current friends list is fine and doesn't really need any adjustments. If you're unfamiliar with someone's name you can simply search it up on namemc - very easy. Coding this would be unnecessary and a waste of time in my opinion. If you're really dedicated to keeping track of which people are in what category, make a notepad saying "Category name: People in category". Or maybe even make a discord server or skype group. Additionally, it would look very messy, as it would clump online players and offline players together in one category, plus it's already organised to show players in this order;
Owner, Admin, SrMod, Mod, Helper, Builder, Hipster, ELITE+, ELITE, VIP+, VIP, Default.

Tl;dr: The friends list is simple and easy to understand. If you know who your friends are, you shouldn't need this.
