So with the new experimental shared lobby chat system, things can get a bit hectic in the chat. Especially if something big happens, like creative crashing, the lobby floods with messages like "LAAAAG" or "WHAT HAPPENED?!" and "WHEN WILL CREATIVE BE ONLINE"
this gets relatively frustrating while I'm doing a sentry run and all that. So this suggestion is to give add a command to the Moderator's digital tool belt to allow them to either:
A: Slow down the chat, restricting everyone temporarily only being able to chat once every X unit of time (maybe a minute, or every half a minute)
or
B: Just disable everyone from chatting in general for a short while, whilst the issue is being resolved.
it's a bit of a half baked idea, but given the situations we have recently been coming across, I feel that it isn't entirely an inappropriate course of action in this point in time.
