Everyone keeps talking about this freaking dress!!! Whether it's blue and black or white and gold. If I'm honest, the only colour that dress is, is ugly.

The real dress is black and blue, though I see white and gold. I don't understand how people see black (though I understand blue).

Highlighted part = lol

I saw black and blue. Then all of a sudden the blue at the top became gold, and I could still see black and blue. The only thing that I see white on is the glare of the sun. To the right of the black and blue dress, it almost looks like the glare and someone in yellow is the other dress.

I think the colors change in different lighting and also depends in how you look at it. I'm sure if your eyes were adjusted to dark it would be black and blue, then white and gold in the light.

Also remember that we have cones and rods in our eyes, so light is reflected or absorbed in different ways. Could also be that for some people only white and yellow is reflecting back and the blue and black is being absorbed, or the other way around.

This is still unclear so I don't really know the logical explanation.

I stared at that for like five hours
XD lol... i only took 1-2 minutes and i could see why people thought black and blue or gold and white

Red and Grey for me.
Blame my eyes.

I'll tell you one secret...
Maybe it will be hard do understand this, you can PM me later and we'll talk about it more.
Back to topic. (almost) Everything you know you know about color is FALSE. Almost all things that we see (including this dress) doesn't have a color. That's right: sky isn't blue, grass isn't green. So called "color" is certain amount of deflected light's beams. For example, grass deflects green light beam, our eye detects this, send information to brain, and brain is saying that there's something green, looks like grass.
So yeah, this dress doesn't have a "color" :)
P.S.: I think it's actually blue and gold :p

Very good explanation of light waves and what's being reflected, any other light is absorbs so it is not detected by the eye.

I'm trying to explain something hard on English and English isn't my native language... So I can make some mistakes.
"We see deflected light beams (like green), other beams are absorbed by the thing and we don't see them." - maybe that's better.

Eyes transmit differently for every person. They Also mix hues, thus making different colors be seen. You aren't insane, just special eyesight. This photo was taken perfectly to prove this.
