This is very inspiring and I hate how I can't relate that much. Each member of my family is so distant with one another that it seems almost impossible to converse. Regardless, thinking about how many hours I spend in my room it's quite concerning - my mum does so much to make me feel happy yet I don't show the appreciation I truly feel. You've inspired me and wow, this thread really moved me.
I hope everything is going well for you Mine, family-wise and everything else. <3

This really has a huge impact on my life right now, as my parents and I aren't on that good of terms. Thank you, Mine. You're an amazing person.

This is so emotional, and inspirational. You see some people don't have mothers or fathers on these special days, like me I've grown up living with my nana and grandad my full life, yes we've had arguments but they took the mother and father role of my life when they started taking care of me c: please appreciate everything your family do for you, you never know when the last word will be and if you don't have the 'latest' phone or the 'trendy' shoes oh well, appreciate what you have because other people don't have enough money for food. This is really inspirational mine, I'm glad you wrote this <3
 
@Mine you inspired me to get up at 6 am for mothers day do all the house work until 7 am then sit and watch tv until 8 am then make an All Day Breakfast with tea for my mam. <3
 
Its the end of mothers day, hope you guys did something special <3 I got my mum a big box of chocolates and flowers then me, my dad, mum, sister and nan had a meal together

Sweet, that's awesome Mine. I made breakfast, lunch and dinner today as my mum usually makes it. I also tried to give all my time to my mother. We had a lot of fun. xx
 
I wish I could say how much I can relate to this, but I can't. My mother and I don't have a good relationship with one another. She complains about how things aren't fair, but tells me to get over it when I complain about how things aren't fair. I just have to breathe and she throws a tantrum at me and wonders where I got my "bad attitude" from. I didn't have a close relationship with my father until the start of last year, he takes me out to do things, he surprises me with kindness and he's a dad. Mum however... let's just say she gives me $10 for lunch when she can't be bothered to go shopping. Dad gave me $50 yesterday and I'm trying to earn more money. I don't go to dad's often but he visits sometimes. I'm basically self reliant in all honesty, which has most likely built up my depression and made me who I am today. I learned how to cook by myself even so yah if anything happens...

oops not mother's day until a couple of months for New Zealand :c
 
I lost my Dad due to a drug overdose a day before Christmas.
Please listen to this post people, you never know when you might lose someone.
