A few hours ago i talked to Gigosaurus about this topic, sadly i forgot to take screenshots as proof. If you choose to just me, go on and read the following paragraph.
So he said to me that it may be linked to a bug/error/problem that had been long overdue to fix. This problem had to do with the way the ranks are organized, in how 50% of players are in dirt, 25% in iron, etc, something like that. He said the had done away with the problem and his fix may have sent a ripple effect of downgrading throughout the ranks, like people going from cobble -> dirt, coal -> cobble, iron -> coal, etc, etc. I further said that this could possibly be an easy fix, which he said that there was nothing to fix. He had fixed the system to where it should be. He dualy noted that this fix could cause an increase of the speed that people can rise in the ranks, while also saying that it could have the opposite effect of making downgrading your levels faster. I have yet to see such an effect in either of these categories, but i may be wrong. so this is not a glitch, nor a bug. It is a fix. This is permanent guys. All we can do now... Is keep on pushing to be better, rise in the rankings, and have fun! :3
