Question
Is there a reason why we say "-1" on suggestions we dislike, or "+1" on suggestions we like? I understand that it is a simple way of gauging the opinion towards a matter, but does it have some kind of registry in the thread? Is there some way to count the number of "+1s" and "-1s" in a thread? Or do we just say it because why not? Honestly, I have no idea. I'm just curious, and I thought the staff team would have the answer I'm looking for. Thanks! <3

It's nothing official, it's like having a poll on a thread, you vote yes or no, or you don't. It's not required to do, however some people just so that as a way of expressing their opinion towards it. It doesn't have any sort of registry towards a thread, it's just a way for someone to explain how they feel about a certain suggestion or idea.
