Creative Editing Signs

I'll only be agreeing with this suggestion IF you are able to go back to a specific line and edit it.
If it's going to be blank anyway, then as Jules stated, it would be the same as removing it- if not easier and faster.
I will be neutral until this is clarified.

I really like the idea, honestly, it would make this easier!

You’re able to go back to a specific line, you don’t have to clear the entire sign, hence why I was confused as to why you suggested clearing the entire sign.
True.

Yeah. I think that'd be a better idea. I'll edit the post

I will be agreeing with what others have said on this.
I don't personally think this is necessary for the network, there's only so much text you can put on a sign, and I don't think implementing something to change just a bit of it would be good use of the developer's time. Yes, it could be useful with some things, but it takes only a few seconds to break and replace the sign that it wouldn't be worth coding and implementing this.

I agree with the above. While having to rewrite messages on a sign can be quite tedious, it does not take priority over the many other changes the developers are working on. It's just too minor of a change to be implemented. Unfortunately I will be voting -1

I agree with this. I feel like since our server is big on roleplaying, then it should be. Especially since ranks use color coding in signs and sometimes words can get cut off due to the sign being full and the code taking up some space. It would be a hassle just to retype all of the code and your words. When i rp i use code in every sign and i see alot of others do the same. Sometimes we forget code and type the wrong number. we would have to retype all the code and lines on the whole sign just to fix one mistake. I think we should implement this because i think it will be a great addition to the server, and help out the players! +1 <3

I like this but just like editing an armour stand, there should be a specific item or something. I like to like long messages and I would hate to write my entire sign again just because I spelled something wrong.

SORRY IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN SUGGESTED.

You know that feeling when you write a really long sign, click done and see you've made a mistake? Or when you're at a Roleplay and you gotta add someone to part of your role. Well, I think there should be a way to edit a sign you place.

It will only be a sign that you placed, otherwise people would edit your signs and stuff. I'm pretty sure there are plugins that allow you to do this but the devs could always make their own one that fits MCPZ better.

How it works:

1. You write a sign.
2. You want to edit that sign.
3. You look at the sign.
4. You Shift + Right click the sign and it will show a sign with the exact stuff you put on it.
5. You write what you want to on the sign.
6. You click "Done".
7. The sign has updated.

I respectfully disagree. You copied this from another server. Yes, on _____ (Nope, not getting banned for advertising today!) it was very usefull and I used it a lot. But it seems so much nicer to just leave the way it is right now. I find no use of it anymore and maybe in the future? Idk, it just seems kinda lazy then just re-putting the sign.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with getting ideas from other places. Many big servers do it. And even outside of games, a lot of famous people are inspired or get ideas from other famous people in their field.
Second of all, I didn't copy it from another server. I saw a video in my recommended (IDK why it was in my recommended, but it was.) where someone was showing off a plugin similar to what I'm suggesting.
Third of all, it's not "lazy". It's more forgetful. If you want to edit a sign but you just re-place it, you have to try and remember what you put on it. It might just be me, but I always forget when I'm writing the sign. Not trying to be rude but just because you don't have a use for it, it doesn't mean no one will.
