When you think about it, not a lot. Super Mario Galaxy did something way different than all the others, and the sequel expanded on it. Super Mario 64 paved the way for Super Mario 3D Land, 3D World, and Odyssey (and SMG). New Super Mario Bros. was a segway into their portable devices. Mario Kart is different because it's a racing game. Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion were completely unique.

Why are we arguing about this? It's clear that we all have our own opinions. I was merely encouraging another user to purchase a Nintendo Switch/Splatoon 2 because they really are great if one can get past one's pre-conceived notions about Nintendo's future.

You can't assume all third person shooters are bad games simply because of isolated experiences that you've had with one or two third person shooters. That's like me playing Five Nights at Freddy's, disliking it and saying all horror games are bad.


I'm sick of arguing about this. Like I said, it's a matter of opinion. If mine isn't going to influence yours, there's no point in carrying on this pointless conversation. This has gone way off topic from the original post.
