Down the street, around the corner.
Appeals for punishments have become a problem for many people. The reason is that the staff member who gave the punishment is the one who replies to it.

On many occasions, staff members reject the appeal because the staff member who gave the punishment thinks that they're right. Sometimes when a player gets punished unfairly, the staff member thinks that they're right so the appeal gets rejected.

My suggestion is to make a different moderator or senior moderator answer the appeal instead of the one who gave the appeal so the situation and the appeal gets responded to fairly.

Honestly I see both sides to this. On one hand, they know the most about the ban/punishment and as to why they did it, but on the other, they tend to ignore if they're wrong because they think they're right... I've been wrongly punished due to ignorant staff MULTIPLE times... I'm more leaning toward supporting your suggestion.

I see what you mean about this, however staff members always provide screenshots and if not, the punishment is revoked. As well as this, senior mods often check the punishment appeals to make sure they’re valid. We also always allow you guys to message the mod that punished you or a senior mod if you disagree with your punishment. If you were punished unfairly, make a staff abuse report, but provide evidence for this so it can be properly dealt with.

The staff member who punished you has to reply because it's likely that they're the only one that has the evidence. And if they pass evidence to a different staff, that's going to get the same result.

Staff aren't allowed to bias towards themself. They were accepted as staff because they know what they're doing.

The staff member who punishes them is the one with the evidence. Like strawberries said, if you were punished unfairly, make a staff abuse report, but provide evidence for this so it can be properly dealt with.

I understand your confusion, and the staff member will make up a bias of you.
But they have the evidence required to officially deny your report...

Please just wait out your ban [if you've been reported], and don't complain about it if it's been denied. It's not the end of the world.

I completely agree! I've had so many false punishments where the staff member was in the wrong but was too stubborn to admit it and I've had to go to other ways to get them removed. However I do get where people are coming from with the providing evidence so I think that there should be a minimum of two or three staff members moderating the appeal before you get a response. That way staff members can discuss if it is accurate or not

Evidence isn't always correct in circumstances under context though. I've had times where staff have seen what I've said as rude when it wasn't and although they provided evidence, they were still wrong.

If a staff member is unsure of if the evidence is valid or not, they tend to ask other staff members/leadership about it before replying. If you still believe your punishment is false, as we all make mistakes, it's best to get into contact with that staff member or to contact leadership yourself. It's best for the staff member that gave the punishment to do it as they know what was going on during that time. If there is biasness, you can always create a staff abuse report against said staff with evidence, or tell a leadership member of your concern. I don't see this getting implemented unless you can give examples of more pros/cons to this and to why it should happen instead of biasness/unfairness.

I understand how you think a staff member might be bias towards you, but the staff members have evidence against you, and they tend to ask other staff members about their evidence. If the evidence is true, your punishment will be given. And most staff members do not bias who they punish.
