I think it might work in the same way as the network boosters on the server that most of us know about, but I cant say the name of because I'll get banned for advertising :p

Party Points do not break EULA. Let me give you a list of the perks to assist this:

"
  • Double points boosters for minigames
  • Karma reset in murder
  • Exclusive gadgets, pets and other cosmetic features (Not yet implemented!)
  • A lot more to come!
"

Hats, gadgets, pets, points (buy cosmetic items) and karma (cosmetic feature) do not affect gameplay. These currency points don't give anybody a booster (har har) in the game to make their gameplay experience have an advantage. Karma does not necessarily choose guns or murderers, but boosts their chances. Does this help explain?

Edit:

It's just a quick question. Do PartyPoints break EULA. As on the post made here on the mojang forums: https://mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-server-monetisation/
It clearly states that real-life money cannot be payed for in-game currency. @gigosaurus @Teamplayer @Euthenics @SideBySide

In-Game currency is usually used to buy game-changing things, like flying perks or more. I don't think it necessarily means cosmetic purchases, but I guess we'll just have to see. This part may be difficult to understand. I'll read the link later to give you a better answer, it's been a few months.

PartyPoints do not break EULA, we are very careful about what we do and do not include to satisfy the community and the EULA.
