I really want to become staff on this server but I looked at the application and it says you have to be VIP or above.

Why?

The requirement to have VIP or up is to ensure that our applicants are committed to the server. Many people would not go to the trouble if applying, if it meant they had to buy a rank (meaning, sometimes people join a server and apply for staff as soon as possible, just to see if they can get it, instead of actually caring about the server)
