Disagreeable downgrade weapons

If you ever played downgrade, you will know what this is about

there is always those few weapons that are just so irritating to use, it's like pulling teeth sometimes to get a kill.

So I wanted to start a discussion about those weapons, and get people's opinions on said weapons, and why they dislike them. If you have any other comments of annoyance from downgrade, I guess you can post em here too

I personally dislike the Explosive crossbow and the Mines.

The explosive crossbow is slow to draw properly, prone to spam fire, and over all, a liability when people still have railguns, and other fast or powerful weaponry.

The mines... I just have a hard time predicting where people will go, so it's hard to place them right. Also in chases, they never seem to want to place right for me. Maybe I ran out? By the time I investigate, I'm dead.

I also personally dislike the salty people who call people hackers just because they are being destroyed, shall we coin them, hackuser, and what they are doing, hackusation-ing (accuser, accusation-ing)

(Not pointing any fingers. They are a very vocal minority of the downgrade community. The rest of you. Minus the hackers rock! :D)

what is your opinion on all of this?

The weapons i have a major hard time with are the Mines, Railgun, and sometimes the Grenade launcher. The mines are a bit buggy with them not being able to place them sometimes and they just don't like to place.

This is in the majority of my games that i have played and i just tell them to "Report me" and most of the time, they never report me cuz they know I don't hack, So maybe just tell them to report me and if you get reported, so what? you most likely dont have hacks and wont get banned

plus, 90% of the time I'm recording for evidence/counter evidence, if the worst case scenario happens
 
I think the weapons make it personally harder. Also, if you dislike them, it makes you want to get rid of them faster, therefore making you lose one more tier and faster at winning the game
 
the reason why we dislike the reference is because they are extremely hard (for us) to get rid of them
 
The weapons are making the game really laggy. :l
 
I agree with you on the crossbow, but I feel the mines would be just fine if they weren't so buggy.

I know that, but sometimes, they literally just won't place in general movement scenarios and in the case that this happens the mine is still counted as a placement, but if you're just standing perfectly still, it works like a charm, most of the time of course.

and this is even with the initial batch of 5

Just gets a bit buggy if you are tired of waiting and standing still to place mines, and decide to be more aggressive :p

Because this isn't a suggestion. It's a commentary on how some DG weapons just are bleh to get a kill with sometimes
 
I understand how some weapons can be a pain to some people. Although some may be due to lag, others can just be a personal disliking to them which then makes you dread having to attack with them.
 
Honestly, I am slowly growing to hate the railgun more and more too... XD
 
Railgun, explosive crossbow, and grenade is fiiiineeee to me. Its just the STUPID STUPID MINES. and if you dont kill someone with the one hit sword instantly, it will take a while also..

Yea, I know that feeling all too well, I used to be okay with railgun, but now it's just a pain for whatever reason. Probably everyone getting the speed perk nowadays. Mines I also agree with, always a pain, always glitchy at the wrong times.

Grenades is a bit of a mixed bag, lots of potential to have your kill stolen, but with speed perk, it isn't so bad when people run away
