Network [DEBATE] Should staff receive unneeded perks.

Hello, I am going to state some things which are bothering me.

I understand that for helping out the server and being staff is something you volunteer for which I mean as
volunteering to apply for staff but why should they receive the same perks that an E+ gets if they just bought VIP?

You may ask, "They need W/E to clear up griefs"
Yes, I understand that but they should be given simple W/E that is needed not //brush or /plot merge if they aren't the rank needed.

So, basically if you are VIP you get VIP perks and the needed cleanup W/E and /mute and /ban if you are Moderator you get those needed perks aswell and colour signs.

The same applies for VIP+ and ELITE and E+ so you only get needed perks.

E+ should receive /oof and /sad or if not E++ because if you are 13 and mature and you get accepted with only VIP rank then you shouldn't receive a $100 rank which is $15

Don't just say "no" because that doesn't give me feedback.

Correct me if I'm wrong, however I believe it is like this because of the way ranks are structured- so, for example, if VIP+ has access to /plot merge, Elite and Elite+ (and above) will automatically have it, instead of having to manually add that as a perk for every single rank that exists. The reason staff would have these perks, then, is due to the fact that the ranks below them had it (for example, builders have all the world edit commands, and emotes like /oof are for hipsters, or possibly E++). I personally do not see a need to redo the entire system, when there isn't a big issue with staff having these perks. I will be voting -1, unless I am mistaken with my assumption.

For a start, it is hard to get accepted as Helper. They don't just accept anyone who applies. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure most staff members are at least a VIP+, meaning they already have coloured signs and /plot merge. And anyway, E++ is probably going to have some of the stuff that you said was unfair on the server. E++ is probably going to have more emotes.

Neutral for now.

Edit: So I did a count and out of the 7 Helpers and 11 Mods; there is one VIP, one VIP+ and two Elites. The rest are all Elite+'s (There was one Helper that I couldn't find out because it doesn't say on their forums page). -1 for the same reason as Nashi put.

2nd Edit: I found out their rank, which is VIP+, so there's 5/18 Helpers and Mods that aren't E+.

The only issue I see with staff that are VIP having these perks is that if they are demoted or resign they get to keep up to their 25 plots and merged plots etc which is very unfair on other VIP’s. However I’ll be saying -1 as I don’t believe it is fixable.
