All too often, I see people on this server, and many others, calling people hackers. They claim someone is a hacker, and do nothing about it. They yell at them, complain it isn't fair, etc. On a rare occasion, I see someone actually record and report. And most of the time, even this is done wrong. I want to explain a couple things here.
Just minutes ago I had a situation like this occur. The user LeoMcI was hacking (sprinting as bystander/ sprinting faster than possible). Everyone in the lobby was spamming the chat about it. I want to make something clear: yelling at them does nothing. They won't stop if they are, and a lot of the time you will be wrongly accusing someone of hacking. If you believe there is a hacker, I highly recommend you do what I did:
1) In this case, I was lucky enough to be on at the same time as one of MCPZ's amazing staff members, StarMinecraftGal. I checked the lobby I was in, then left to the hub. I checked for staff in the hub, and found her. I then politely and calmly asked her to come to murder lobby 6, as there is a hacker in it. She watched a few games and determined this to be true. He was promptly taken care of, and is no longer going to be a problem. The staff on here are plenty capable, don't be afraid to ask them to help. It's their job.
2) If no staff are on, record them. This does not mean record yourself playing the game with them, however. There is a proper way to record a hacker. I believe staff has posted guidelines to this already, so I will not go in depth. Basically, you need to put your focus on them, not winning or playing. This means identifying them as fast as possible. Then, keeping your eye (screen) focused on them. It is extra good if you have bought a rank, so you can join after the game has started and spectate them. Record them doing the hacking multiple times, if possible. Then come to the forums, and follow the proper reporting form.
3) Remember, your word against theirs is useless. It is nothing more than a claim if you cannot prove it. So definitely be sure to get out there and do something. If you want something done, work for it.
tl;dr- The staff on here is very good at their job, and very friendly. Ask them for help. If not available, record it yourself and put it on the forums. DO NOT just complain and expect anything to get better.
Hope this was helpful! I will be updating this post with links soon!
Love you all!
