I’m taken aback by the discovery. I could barely even believe my eyes… I stumble back a bit, eyes quickly moving from the corpse to Alteca, who is doing the same. After what felt like half an hour of just that, I turn to see Danny standing right in the doorway, smiling like a little toddler.
“Is there a present there?” He says with a pretty creepy smile.
“No,” I say, still extremely shaken up. “It’s… Charlotte.”
“Hmm?” He tilts his head with the same smile. “Is she in there?”
I see Alteca nod as Danny and his snake trickle in to see the scene.
Right then, I hear a strange sound… Almost like a bell ringing “Ding dong, dong ding”, and then the monitors turning on.
“A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, which you may use however you like, the class trial will begin!~” We hear Monokuma speak.
After Monokuma was done speaking, we hear a lot of screaming from our confused classmates. We slowly guide them to the trash room so they can see what Monokuma was talking about. I can easily say, in all of my years of being alive, I’ve never seen a group of people that terrified.
“What…” I heard Drew say, eyes wide staring at Charlotte. “Who did this?” His expression quickly turned from shock to rage.
After what felt like an eternity (But was probably just a few seconds), we see Monokuma entering the trash room holding a stopwatch.
“Wow-ee! Murder on the second day! That has to be a new record! I’m quite proud of all of you~” The little bear said with the same smile he always has.
“What is wrong with you..?” Chino asks, looking at Monokuma with a horrified expression.
“I wouldn’t bother asking it that,” Sage says with a poker-face expression.
“Hey! Young man, that is no way to speak to your principal!”
“Yo, news flash, doesn’t matter,” Max said with a frustrated expression, pointing at Charlotte “Someone. Freaking. Died.”
“Ah, yes, one of you murdered Charlotte!” Monokuma laughed. “If I did it, you wouldn’t have the body announcement!”
“You little…” Drew looked like he was about to charge Monokuma with all he had, but I grabbed his arm before he could do any damage. “Hey!” He shouted.
“Now then, without any need for added damage, let me explain why I came here.” Monokuma adjusted his posture, before revealing what looks like tablets. “It’s the Monokuma File!”
“No…” I look at Melody, who looks like she’s going to throw up at any second. “I don’t wanna see it! Forget all of it… I’ll be in my room.” at that, she runs out of the room, and a few seconds later we hear a door slam.
“Well then! Suit yourself!” Monokuma laughed, as he addressed all of us, handing out the files. “Have fun!~”
“Wait-!” Minchi speaks nervously, but Monokuma was already gone.
“Well then…” Alteca shakes his head, looking over at Charlotte. “I guess… all we can do is investigate.”
“Yes, good detective work Mr detective,” Max says sarcastically. “Next thing I was gonna do was,” Max vaguely waves their arm at the body. “Just shove the body in someone's nose.”
“Max, this is not a time for sarcasm.” I look at Max, them just sighing.
“Besides that,” Alteca coughs in a sort of passive-aggressive way, looking around at everyone in the room.
Everyone divides around, leaving Me, Alteca, Danny, Minchi and Max in the trash room with the body. I look at the tablet Monokuma gave me, opening it up for it to say “Monokuma File”. Sort of figures. But when the file opened completely, I saw a sheet with basic info about Charlotte. Hight, weight, chest, etcetera. On another tab, there was a picture of the body and a chart next to it of Charlotte with pink sections where it appears major injury was caused: Around the neck and head.
Another thing that was on it was the time of death, 8:02. I thought back to what I was doing at that time; waiting in the dining hall for Charlotte to return, just shortly before Chino arrived asking what Charlotte was doing. It does sound quite suspicious if you ask me… but then I remembered what Danny said before we entered the room:
“Oh! No, but I did see Drew run out of the trash room!”
I look over at Danny, who I can only assume is just messing around with his snake.
“Hey, Danny,” I say, looking at him.
“Yeah?” He tilts his head looking at me, as his snake does the same.
“You… said you saw Drew coming out of the trash room, right?”
At this point, Minchi Max and Alteca are all looking at us, not daring to say a word.
“Oh, right!” his face lights up, going into detail about what he saw. “I remember he had a bunch of strawberry sauce all over his hands, he was looking at me like he saw a ghost!” He giggles, looking at his snake. “Terry bit him in the ankle for some reason, but then he ran away doing the chicken dance! It was honestly a shame I couldn’t talk to him further…”
“Okay you had me up to the chicken dance,” Max says deadpan, not buying his story.
“You’re saying that like strawberry sauce made any sense…” Minchi whispered.
“Oh?” Danny’s head tilted, him rocking back and forth like a kid. “You couldn’t tell?”
“Couldn’t tell what?” Alteca asked.
“Every last word of that was a lie!” Danny laughed, his snake seems to be using its tail as a hand to cover its mouth as it ‘giggled’
“Oh, you-” Max snaps, but Minchi holds them back.
“Danny… You shouldn’t lie about this.” I look at him sternly.
“Hey, the fun’s already been ruined for me, so why should I ruin it for you?” He tilts his head.
“People died, Danny,” Max said.
“Your point being..?” He asked, like what Max just said has no meaning to him.
“You really don’t care about any of this?!” Max yelled at him.
Minchi sighs. “I… Don’t think it matters much now. I… I have to go.” she was shaking as she exited.
“And where exactly are you going?” Alteca asked sharply.
She froze. “I..I’m gonna check on Melody.”
He sighs as Minchi continues walking away. “Kyoko, can you follow her, please?”
“Okay.” I nod as I follow her.
The first thing I notice is a few bloody spots to my left. Obviously not enough to indicate Charlotte was dragged, but… it was there.
I look over at Minchi, who’s entering Melody’s dorm. I do make a mental note of that…
But alas, I look back at the bloody spots, which seems to lead to the bathrooms. I follow it to the ladies bathroom. I look inside and see the sink and hand pump has quite a bit of blood… But alas, I also notice Chino and Asuka there.
“Hey… Have you two found anything?” I ask.
“Oh, hey Kyoko!” Chino smiles, looking at me.
“I’m assuming you two are here to investigate the bloody sink?”
“Are you sure it has anything to do with the case..?” Asuka asks.
“... Yes. I am rather certain, really.”
“Um… How old are you again?” Chino asks, looking a little concerned.

“... Oh. Well, I’m pretty sure we can assume it has something to do with the case.” I step outside and point at the bloody spots. “There’s a trail of small spots coming from the trash room.”
“Oh, that makes sense.” Asuka nods.
“Well, I’ll make a mental note of this.” I awkwardly nod back.
TRUTH BULLET ADDED: BLOODY SINK
“That’s pretty good!” Chino giggles.
“Oh yeah, Chino, I was meaning to ask you something.” I look at her.
“Er… should I leave for this?” Asuka asks me nervously.
“If you want.” I smile at her before looking back at Chino.
“Okay then.” Asuka scoots out of there.
“Well… What did you want to ask me?” Chino asks.
“You said you saw Charlotte when you were walking out of your dorm, right?”
“Um… Yes. I did.” She responds, starting to hunch up a bit like she’s nervous.
“So that means you were likely the only person besides Danny who knew where she was.”
“Wait, besides Danny?”
I stop to think for a moment. “... Slightly long story there.”
“Oh no, I have time! I… I think.” Chino says as she waves her hands nervously.
“I don’t think it matters much right at this second. Although…” I pause, reading her worried expression. “Did you see Danny on your way out?”
“Yeah, I did. He looked like some kid who just saw some juicy gossip take place… May I ask why?”
“Well,” I gesture to the sink. “With this information, I can’t accuse Danny of being the culprit, but it’s safe to say he knows who the culprit is.”
“Oh! Then why don’t you ask him?”
“He’s… Not exactly truthful.” I then tell her what happened in the trash room after she left; all about Danny’s lie.
“Oh, that little gremlin…” She furrows her brow at the door but then her expression turns into a surprised look.
“Huh?” I look behind me at the door and see Alteca standing there. “Oh, hello.”
“What are you doing here?!” Chino yells, face flushed.
“Oh, er, sorry. Don’t get the wrong idea.” Alteca blushed.
“Yeah, right!” Chino shouts, looking embarrassed.
“Chino, please, calm down,” I say, patting her shoulder.
“Yeah, I was just here to ask why Kyoko didn’t do the one thing I asked her to do.”
“Huh?” I ask.
“Well, nothing happened, but she’s just in melody’s room, definitely not investigating.” his voice sounding like an unpleasant mix of exhausted and frustrated.
“Oh. Do either of them plan on coming out any time soon?” I ask as I exit the bathroom, following as Alteca walks down the hall.
“I don’t think so.”
As we walk, we stumble across Melody’s dorm, where we hear panicked crying and Minchi trying to help her. I can’t help but find something off about her voice though.
The thing I can’t help but hear in her voice is… Rage. I’ll make a mental note of that.
As we continue walking, we come across the laundry room, where we hear something... that didn't belong. A rumbling sound. We enter the laundry room, and see one laundry machine running. I found it quite odd, since this was only the second day. Who does laundry every day?
We opened up the machine and saw something odd. There was only one of the shoulder top in the entire load. Nothing else. Neither of us thought too much of it, just that it was a little odd.
We then hear what sounds like... a bell. A bell that goes "Ding dong, dong ding".
