(No longer doing the POV thing)
Nixon dragged Pesky up the stairs and Pesky grabbed Gabby and dragged her up the stairs too. Everyone panted looking off the roof. Explosions, and chaos, fires, and screaming. Kia ran to the top right corner and grabbed the ledge with her hand.
"We're getting nowhere fast! We have to help people!" She jumped off the roof and dangled by her hands on the ledge. She dropped and ducked round the corner. Bryce was stalling the scientists. Running around.
"We have to split up!" Everyone followed. Nixon panted.
"Heck no -- Horrible idea!" Gabby shook her head.
"Splitting up is the best option before thousands of scientists come roaming around making this their nest!" Kia ran to the housing block.
"KIA! Damn it!" Aiden shouted.
"Right! Gabby, Pesky, Run after Kia . You'll be group A!" Spryggin pointed them in the right direction.
"Me, Nixon, and Aiden'll run down to the shopping park! It'll be packed with people!" Spryggincontinued.
with that, they all split.
"ANYONE HERE!?" Gabby shouted as she put her hands round the stairs.
"Stay downstairs! Don't hurt us.. Please!" A voice echoed down the stairs. It was crippled with fear.
"It's OK! We're not one of them!" Pesky slowly went up the stairs.
BANG
"....It's OK!" Kia looked in the corner. Two small children were huddled. A boy and a girl. The boy looked a little older.
The girl looked at the boy. The girl stood up and hugged Gabby's leg.
.."Y-You're safe now!" Kia picked up the boy. They were about seven-ish.
"Gabby, Pesky, we can't travel in groups. They'll find us and It'll be like striking gold in a coal mine.."
Pesky took the boy off of Kia.
"I'll go to the next house.." Kia ran downstairs. She shouted upstairs;
"GO BACK TO THE LAB!"
"ANYO--" Nixon got cut off by Spryggin.
"sHH!" She slapped his mouth.
"OW!"
"Look, do you REALLY thing the scientists can't hear you when you shout!? If I show my ears and you act like you're covering your ears." Spryggin turned back around and kept walking. The boys covered their ears with their hair.
"Who's there!?" It was a young voice. (Again) They didn't seem worried. But it didn't seem direct.
Spryggin, Aiden, and Nixon looked around. Nixon jumped when they heard a voice.
"It's Okay, we're friendly!" Aiden said in a loud whisper.
"I know, I can see you!" The voice went again. "I'm on the walkie talkie! To your right!"
They did a syncronised 'looking to the right' movement.
There was a walkie talkie on the outdoor stall. Nixon picked it up and talked in to it.
"Where are you? We're here to help any people who aren't already evacuating.."
"Look up to your right!" There was a small girl in a tree house waving at them.
"We see you!" Aiden waved.
She screamed and the tree house door slammed shut.
Spryggin turned around and a stampede of scientists were coming near. They went round to the back of the shop where the tree house was. They climbed up the ladder while they were out if the scientists' range of sight.
"...Will they find us?" She was huddled in the corner clutching the walkie talkie.
"...Let's hope not.." Aiden mumbled.
"They won't." Spryggin put her legs out of the tree house and kicked down one of the wood panels for the ladder. "We're safe now.."She smiled.
The girl hugged Spryggin. She nearly fell out of the door. Aiden and Nixon went and group hugged them too. The scientists paraded down the street and searched. They avoided the tree house.
"Are we gonna be okay?" The girl asked.
"We will.." Spryggin comforted her. The boys kept look out.
She passed the girl the other walkie-talkie.
"Here.. You can have it back." She smiled.
"..Thank you so much.."
"Where are your parents?" Aiden asked
pause
"...I have none." She replied.
"...I'm.. so sorry for asking." Aiden went red in the face.
"..What's your name?" Nixon turned around from the window.
"...I never had one, so I decided to name myself Grace." She was being quiet while the scientists were going past. They were nearly gone.
they waited a few more minutes and they were gone. They snook out of the tree house and reconnected with the group. Grace and the two siblings were there too.
"Bryce.. Isn't here?" Kia had just arrived too.
"...No.. They got him.. But there's blood on the floor." Gabby rubbed the back of her head.
"...A person died?" Grace looked up at Spryggin.
"..Not dead." Spryggin replied.
"Surely Bryce had something that.. takes us SOMEWHERE!?" Aiden screeched.
"..Surely?" Nixon asked.
"...We'll look." Kia walked inside. Everyone followed. The scientists were on the south of the city now.
Grace and the 2 kids, Oka and Hidoshi, opened a drawer and searched it. A taser-like object attracted Oka's attention. She pressed the button and a purple-tinted portal opened at the door.
"GREAT! LET'S HOPE THIS BRINGS US TO WONDERLAND!" Kia shouted sarcastically.
"KIA!" Spryggin shouted. The Scientists heard.
"Everyone through, NOW!"
Everyone ran through. The scientists pounded the window, and before they knew it, the lab was the ghost town it was before.
