Your imagination
You may know Cooking Mama, well, I present to you Crafting Mama!

How this game works ?
The goal of the game is to craft the most items possible.
You'll have to put your items in a special chest in order to gain points from them.
Every type of items will give you points depending on how hard it is to craft them.
Bonues will be given for the variety of the items at the end of the game.
(See lower for more details about how the points and bonuses works.)
At the end of the game the person who have the most points win.

Players, map and ressources.
This game need 2 players min and 6 players max and one game is 15m long.
Every players will have a diamond pickaxe and a diamond sword to harvest stuff.
Every players will spawn in a small crafting room with a crafting table, furnaces allways full of coal and the enderchest where you have to put the crafted stuff to gain points.
Depending of the map, the room can also contain a brewing stand and a water bottle dispenser.

The ressources depend of the map.
I've actually 3 kinds of maps ;

  • A farm map where the ressources and the crafts are based on cooking and harvesting.
  • The nether where the ressources and the crafts are based on brewing potions.
  • A mine where the ressources and the crafts are based on mining and crafting tools, armor, etc...
Ressources may be harvested, collected on the ground from a spawning area or collected by killlings mobs.
Ressources respawn every 1/3 of the timer.
Players can't take any damages, mobs AI will be disable to avoid them sticking on the players and mobs may have a special loot table. (for example if you kill a cow you could get leather, meat but also a bucket of milk)
There is also special events that happen once in the game near the middle of the timer.
Those events are specific to the map.

  • "Thunderstorm" on Farm ; lightning bolts strike the pigs and create pigmans. Players can kill them to get gold for gapples, golden carrot, etc...
  • "Nether portal" on Nether ; a nether portal spawn on the map and spawn creatures from the overworld. Players can kill them to get items to brew more potions (rabbit paw, pufferfish, etc...)
  • "Shooting stars" on Mine ; a shooting star rain that bring a few nether stars for the players to craft a beacon.
Points and bonus.
Points work like this :
  • a harvested item without any transformation worth 1 points
  • a harvested item that may be crafted worth 2 points
  • a crafted item using only one type of item worth 3 points
  • a crafted item using crafted or smelted material worth 4 points
  • a crafted item using 2 type of items worth 5
  • a crafted item using 3 or more items worth 10
  • a crafted item using 3 or more items including 1 or more crafted item as material worth 15
  • a crafted item using items from a special event worth 20
  • water bottles and bottles worth 0 (to avoid spamming them for easy points)
  • every normal potions worth 5
  • every splash potions worth 10
After crafting an item 1 time his value decrease.
A bread worth 3 points when you craft it for the first time
it worth 2 the second time
and then 1 everytime you craft it again

  • between 1 and 10 different items give +0% to the final score

Maybe a different name, I like the structure “Crafting Mama” isn’t exactly the best name for a party minecraft network.

With a few adjustments, such as shortening the time and difficulty of getting resources, this could make a neat party game. +1 from me, but not as its own gamemode.

I feel as though this would make quite a cool own game mode, however as it is now it’s more of a party game. To make this it’s own game mode, there could be levels - with this you can have a set limit of how many points you need to reach each round, and the first player to reach it wins the round, each round it gets harder - maybe with less materials spawning or the area to gain resources shrinks so there’s less to obtain making it harder each round.

This sounds like a very fun, and unique game! I think we should definitely implement it, although maybe the name wouldn't be "Crafting Mama", I don't feel like it really goes with the server that well, it could possibly be named "Crafting Zone", or "Crafting Mania", but "Crafting Mama" is also a pretty good name, just maybe not the best in my opinion, but this game seems like a lot of fun! It sounds unique, and I think players would really like it!

This suggestion sounds very unique and intriguing. I think a lot of players would enjoy this game too because it's very different from other games. It's extremely interactive and can be an enjoyable, fun game for all. Though, agreeing with what has been said above I believe it should be considered a minigame and not its own gamemode. Nevertheless, still a +1 from me.
