I feel this is a good time to post this thread, because as of now, as far as I know, no other server has this gamemode, and this is a great time to seize such a popular concept.
And if you feel the need to respond with something about how this is an unoriginal concept, let me remind you Murder itself was only original in terms of being in Minecraft, as it was already a huge concept before being implemented into the Minecraft world. This will similarly be original in terms of Minecraft if implemented.
Basic Description: Craft Royale is essentially Battle Royale (which I'm sure everyone has heard of already), except in Minecraft, and if you don't know what Battle Royale is, I will be describing it anyway.
Lobby Period: Craft Royale is a game where players in groups of however many the Admins can work with or would prefer, are all put on a map. In the lobby, they are given a map with 5-8 choices, being the rest of the hotbar spaces they have, to choose where they would like to land based off of that map. They must select before the timer runs out in the lobby, or they will be randomly selectively put in places to fill in less common choices for drop points. When the lobby timer runs out, players will be teleported to the general area of where it is they wanted to spawn, and the games begin once everyone is there and ready.
The Two Components: Now, there are two key components from here, there is crafting and building things, and there is the PvP component. In this game, it is important to kill your opponents, while also being important to craft things like weapons if none are available to you in chests (I will go over chests next). You must collect items by mining ores and getting wood and such. Bottomline, you must participate in both if you wish to survive and be equipped best.
Chests (Tier I Loot): Now for chests, chests will be found somewhat regularly throughout the map, and they will contain a few essential items like apples (food in general), some low tier weapons or tools, and other random items like fishing rods or saddles even. But these items will all be low tier and only to start with, as you will need to go mining and such to get higher tier items. Rare finds in these chests are items like Regeneration potions or Golden Apples, which will help in the last part of the Deathmatch
Mining: Now, for mining, you must be thinking about how difficult it will be to actually get to battle if people just go mining the entire game. Below the grassy surface, there will only be 10-15 blocks of stone to go mining in, where you can only find ores like iron, coal, and maybe some redstone for those maniacs who are wizards with redstone. The bottom level will be bedrock so no one can get out.
Border and Times: On starting, players will have ONE minute of Speed I and Resistance I, where they will be collecting things from chests, coordinating with their teammates if it's a team mode, and spreading out, or possibly tracking enemies. After that minute, they will lose their Speed and Resistance, and be given whatever items they bought from the lobby (I will explain this too, right after), from here, they will have 10 minutes to hunt until Deathmath, where the border will shrink at an extremely fast pace, almost as fast as someone can run. For the 10 minute period, the border will shrink at a decent rate. Touching the border will instantly kill you. Just don't touch it. Don't do it. Don't be that guy.
Lobby purchases: I haven't thought out the coin system yet, but there will be one. The idea is, for kills, you get coins, for winning, you get coins. And those coins, you can use to buy items. I'm not talking about anything overpowered though, lets say for each kill you get 10 and for each win you get 100, an item like an iron sword would cost 10000 or so, because such an item like that could be game changing if you get it at the right time, there will be other less expensive Tier I items, and a few huge ones, like possibly a Diamond Sword that only has 1-2 durability on it.
Deathmatch: The death match in this game will happen via the games border, shrinking. I believe that this will provide a challenge to players who are further out near the borders, as their new biggest problem will become the border closing in on them almost as fast as they can run. Once they reach the safe zone, the Deathmatch will begin, and the players will fight. Two minutes into the Deathmatch, players will not be able to regenerate health again. This is where the rare items like golden apples and regen potions will become useful. If two minutes later, the players are not all dead, with one last standing player or team, the game will be a Draw, which will give 20 coins to each participant.
Tell me what you guys think, I'm open to suggestions on how this could become a better suggestion. Thanks, -Clockwork_
Also, don't forget to vote on if you think this should be implemented or not!
