So basically, as I was shamelessly toying around with a warplane model of mine, I came up with an idea on how to make the first ever true dogfighting game on MCPZ - Block Thunder (Parody of War Thunder)! My idea was to have a custom resource pack that turned certain capes on elytras into planes of different types. For example, a creeper cape would = an F4U Corsair, a Mojang cape = a BF-109, etc. So we would use some of those "glitched" fireworks to constantly propel the player forward and use the same guns from murder, but V15 so they fire faster. The arrows would not do much damage, but if you continuously land hits on the player until he/she dies (no healing of course) the plane would turn red and disappear because the player inside did the same. You could also feasibly use other fireworks as unguided rockets and various other things. So we build a dogfighting arena based off actual historical battles such as the Battle of Britain or Stalingrad and this would function like teams. You would lose ranking (karma) for shooting down allied planes but enemy aircraft would raise you through the ranks. I also thought about having a note block song playing in the background to fit the theme.

Thread moved.

Also, while I'm here, I'll be adding my opinion.

I do like the idea, but as said before, the server is currently running in 1.8 and above, meaning we would have to update to 1.9 and higher to be able to do this idea.

This also doesn't give me any insight into what it really is. How many players are required? Player cap? Time limit?

It seems like a good idea from what I understand, but not as well thought out. This will also cost the devs a lot of hard work and time to do. I don't believe this gametype is meant for the PartyZone network.

I still like the game and want it alot.
Hey bro,

In one the threads mentioned by @Etgo , unstitched said ‘we would lose 15% of our small playerbase.’ If we lost that many players, I expect the server would die out very fast. If the server dies out, that means no games would get played on the server anymore. That’s the last thing we want.

Just because one person wants it doesn't mean it'll get in. I'm trying not be rude, so I'd recommend reading what Emerald said above, for the rest of the information. :)

It's actually over 1/3, so 33.33% not 15%. I have no idea where I plucked 15% from

Who said we needed to update the entire server? The game could be just for 1.9+ players. Meaning if your on 1.9+ it will stay the same yet for 1.8.9 and below they hop on the server as usual yet can't play the actual 1.9 game. Meaning when they try to join the 1.9 game in 1.8 they will receive the message: "Your Minecraft version is too low, please play on 1.9+."
A better explanation is...
We have a main server which is the main lobby. Then we have little side channels from the main lobby and these can be any version not the main lobby version which is 1.8.

o........o 2 side networks (murder)
...>O<... main lobby
o........o 2 side networks (downgrade)

As for the suggestion, I would love to see it happen yet our playerbase is the main need right now and adding this might make us lose players for multiable reasons. But personally I would love to see the game so +1...
