Are you allowed to apply for Insights again before your original application hasn't gotten a response? I'm wondering because I want to apply for more than just one sub-team.

When you apply for insights you must wait until you get a response before re applying. Once you are in insights there will be applications for you to apply for the sub teams - the actual insight application is just to be part of the overall team.
