I want people to read this thread; whatever your sexuality.
People are now coming out on PZ. Atleast one or two per few days. It's now a 'trend'.
This isn't just a thread for coming out, or sexualities, it's about other things, like break-ups, or anything that is close to home and really brought you down with it. Unfortunately, I know what this feeling is: wanting to bury your head and never see the light of day again.
But you need to be brave. Starting with sexualities; be proud. You're you; no one can change that. People might not accept you, they might not accept you for that.
You are who you are. You have to be proud of that. Even if others don't like you for it, or avoid you for it, so what? They need to notice that you are you. And you have your freedom. They have theirs; don't be afraid to tell them that.
I know this might be coming from a girl who is straight, but so what? I support people of different sexualities.
You be you. You're doing so well.
Now break-ups and things 'close to home'.
I know how much they hurt. I won't lie. I suffered a break-up recently, even if it was my first: it still hurt.
I know it's hard. You keep thinking everything's over. They'll "hate" you now.
That's not the truth. Stop saying bad things to yourself. You're doing youself no good. There's no point in saying bad things to yourself. It's going to waste your breath and change your thought process. So stop. Before it progresses in to something much, much worse. Because then you will regret the things you said.
I also want to say this. This isn't me, I'll admit this was my cousin. She broke up with her boyfriend and suddenly she thought her world was over. My family around her, I remember them saying "Don't worry love, we've all gone through stuff like that, and trust me, within a few months you'll look back, and you'll laugh; you learn from things like this." So now I think it's my turn to say that to you guys. I don't want you guys to be upset from stuff like this; or progress through that sadness to something such as depression or suicidal, self-harmful thoughts. Like I've said, stuff like this does you no good. I want you to be brave. That's what I ask of you. If something such as a family death or break-up occurs, don't worry; the world is not cruel. The world may do these things to us on purpose, but that does not make it cruel.
My theory is that the world may seem all cruel, vicious, and an unforgiving void of pain -
I don't believe that. Sure. I think that too sometimes in the heat of the moment; but my theory is that the world does these cruel things to us so that we learn from them, in the hope that one day, the world won't have to do such cruel things to us. We can all live together with no mistakes. Everything will be okay.
You will be okay too. Believe in yourself.
But before I click the 'Create Thread' button, i want you to do me a favour.
Spread this around.

Let them know that what the world throws at them..
You will bounce back.
You are strong.
